I have some classics on my wii but have nearly every single game for NES and SNES on my computer. Some are fun but most just bring back a memory for 2 minutes and I never open it up again.
Tysons punch out, mario 1-3, and zelda are games that I can still play for hours today. I guess i would include contra 1 in there too.

Definitely a bargain for all of that stuff.

I was playing Kid Icarus on a road trip I took over the weekend. I have the NES 3D classics version on the 3DS. I never played it when I was younger but always wanted to. It's been pretty good so far. I played it a while back and hated it but for some reason it has grown on me.

The ending was so awesome. It just said congratulations and that was it. For a game as hard as Karnov they could at least added virtual naked chicks or something.

My brother bought Dragon Warrior when it first came out and hid it from me for awhile, he would play after high school and hide it before I got home a couple hour later from grade school.
Not sure why though, perhaps it was a very high priced game I think? anyways when I did get to play it I played it A TON, beat it several times when I was probably only 10.
Beating games back then at such a young age was a feat, I did beat Zelda when I was 7-8, I don't see kids of this generation beating games where you don't have a save spot every 5 minutes...
One of the hardest games, and worst too... was Deadly Towers, not sure if I ever did beat it, my brother and I worked at that for ages, I know he beat it at one point.

No Dragon Warrior 1-3 rpg love? A metallic slime ftw! Dragon Warrior 4 was released on NES too. I remember getting Dragon Warrior for free by subscribing to Nintendo Power. The first game was good but 2 was much better. I never got to play 3 or 4, although I did order 3 through a game magazine back in the day and they never sent the damn game. They just took my money order and sent nothing. Nothing I could do about it....lesson learned.

I don't know why, but playing the games on the OG hardware increases my enjoyment. It just feels right. Virtual Console NES games are weird to play with a Wiimote or the Classic Controller. SNES games work well though.

Thanks, but the pic doesn't do it justice. That is just the top layer in that crate. There are 2 more rows underneath. And that crate is just the NES carts I have complete with boxes and manuals. My "boxless" NES cart collection is somewhere around 200 carts.
