Super jealous by the way Best way to decipher the two is to check out the BK album at www.geepeekay.com/world_japan.html which has all 1st print run cards. Best way to tell these are all 1st print run is because there are no censored cards with the black bars (Bent Ben, Guillo Tina, Many Lenny, etc). Guilty by association. Then compare those to the ones with backings. Some cards didn't have name changes tho so those will be difficult to differentiate. Seems like any name that mentioned death, violence, or any non-PC topic was changed/edited for the 2nd Print. There's a LOT of name changes to be documented one day! The presumably short 1st Print Run seem to be very rare. The Stuck Chuck on the left does not have a backing on it unfortunately. Does anybody have a 1st print run BK with backing? |

Here's an example of a character that had a name change and black censor bars from 1st to 2nd Print Run. I bet Guillo Tina was given the same treatment. Adam Bomb even had a name change. 1st print name translated to something nuke related, and 2nd print name was something along the lines of "push the button". Thanks to TMA for help with the Japanese translations.  |
