This thread is dedicated to the true SUPER RARES of the Cheap Toy hobby: "S1 Novos".
The term "Super Rare" is used in several larger, vintage toylines where.... toys exist that are so rare that they stand far above the next tier. Super Rares are usually Premiums, Prototypes, or various toys from a Test Market issue. MIP are not considered Super Rares since their rarity is based on the unopened package instead of solely on the toy. However, there are exceptions, and additional Super Rare types.
Series 1 Novo Bonbon Cheap Toys in Series 2 plastic, nicknamed "S1 Novos" could possibly be an exception. Yes, there's a mystery here, and it's a deep one. It's a good mystery too, the kind where dreams are made.
Our best clues to understanding these Super Rares come from 3 or 4 collectors who have found this forum and who have found people like us who are interested in knowing more about these Super Rares(nicknamed SRs). I make this comment because just imagine how MOST people who know hold some of these answers might not find this information important and especially unimportant to tell others about, lol.
So far, EACH collector, and I believe there are 4 collectors, have told identical stories concerning these S1 Novos. The collectors however have not provided an exact date, or even...gulp..a consitant YEAR, to when they purchased these. What they have agreed on is that these Super Rares were distributed in quanities of one or two in a Series 2 box of 24.
Some stats to ponder first is the Total Number of documented Series 2s: UNDER 150.
Total number of S1 Novos, which has doubled in the past year, is at 16.
Let's move on, and let these stats work in our head awhile, besides these are some of the most significant stats in our hobby and will always pop up, and more importantly...these stats will change.
ahhh, Color. Our hobby is blessed with Super Rares that come in colors that are arguable superior to even our Rares! Was this done on purpose? Hard to say. For example, the Super Rares in the MUSCLES toyline, though come in different SCULPTS arguably superior to sculpts from the orginal set(as pictured on their poster), ONLY come in their common "Flesh" eraser color.
Even though our Super Rares are the same ol' sculpts, we have toys like Sunshine Yellow Grafitti Petey!
..Or, Series 2 Green Alice Island!
So, imagine if out Super Rares came in a duller Peach than our Dull Peach!
...And out Super Rares float, and just LOVE "Bonbon Bath Time, or BBT"!
More stats, here's the 16 SR's what's what list:
Novo "Sunshine" Yellow:
Leaky Lindsay X 3
Later topic!

Adam Bomb
Grafitti Petey
Brainy Janey
Novo Red:
Double Heather
Thin Lynn
Adam Bomb
Novo Green:
Thin Lynn
Leaky Lindsay
Adam Bomb
Alice Island
Grafitti Petey
Novo Blue:

Brett Sweat and Crater Chris and Muggin Megan are still undiscovered in ANY Novo color.
Let's get right to it and see some toyz! I will be seeking photographs of the other 10 SR knowns from the other 3 owners. For now, you'll be stuck with mine. Warning, S1 Novos have been known to 'cause men's hearts to turn black', or so was told to me by a friend who is VERY right!
I would like to add to my friend's statement and say that, S1 Novos have no effect on women.
...since their hearts are ALREADY black, and all..
