If you don't count the common figures then it's still about $360ish per rare figure. $360 is about right for a Series 2. They lately have gone between $350 - $400. Last two novos (mine and jacksons) sold for $350 and $351 so that seems around the same ball park as well. The auction seems like it was expensive since it was all in one lot and traditionally lots sell for less. This lot fetched a combined price of what each individual figure would have gone for. Pretty much who ever won it is paying what each individual figure goes for and snatched a 1 of 1 known Chris in the process. Not too shabby! What does this signal? Possibly a decrease in the prices of Series 2s and Novos, well at least til Minikins hit.

I wish i knew about cheap toys years ago. I think people are just getting rid of their cheap toys now in fear that the value will decrease once the minkins come out. I hope someone on this site wins them. also Rus, you think we'll ever see any ulta rares for minikins? Absolutely, but they will be weird little variants for now. Now, for Minikins II, we'll see! I hope they make Nagenta ones next time! |

Seriously though its awesome a novo Chris was finally discovered. I wish it was in my Chris collection but I knew that auction would be out of my league and I'm glad you ended up with it. Doesn't really matter HOW Russ won it - if the bid ran higher than your maximum bid and he was prepared to go all-out then that's just tough luck. My maximum was £600 ($900-plus) and it went way beyond that. Should've pooled my money with someone too |

I can't agree with you more Jackson. Series 2 figures in my opinion are still rare, but not that rare. The prices I believe are driven more now by hype then actual "super rareness." |
