We'll see what happens. These figures hardly ever go for the prices at auction that people expect to get for them in private sales.

Yaaaa.....only the couple hard core CT collectors like yourself have deep enough pockets to afford them usually win these lots. If I should somehow win it,I plan on selling the Jill to Nolan so he can finally have his complete set. But like you say Jackson.....'We'll see' !

Unfortunatly those aspects of the 'game' come with ALL collectible communities. One cheap toy moderator here comes to mind when talking about overall underhandedness. Its a shame, but dealing in such high end markets brings out the greed and shadiness of people.

I will be bidding. Should I win,I will be selling some off and spreading them around to collectors here. Good luck. Too bad people are already bidding it up. I never bid until the last second and if i cant make the auction i use a sniper. cant stand when people just bid things up early, it rarely works.

I never bid until the last second and if i cant make the auction i use a sniper. cant stand when people just bid things up early, it rarely works. It puts people off from bidding at all - something you'd want if you were a collector. In this instance however, I see the profiteers shooting themselves in the foot. If this goes above $900 to $1000 there's very little profit to be made and chances are high that there are only maybe 4 or 5 people with the expendable dough to afford this for collecting purposes only, using snipers, auto bidders and so on. This'll go down to the last second for silly money I bet. Ali, Glen and Jill command a collective price of around $700 - 900, 1 of 1 Crater Chris in Novo Blue, anywhere from $300 to $450 (some one would). I hope this goes to a collector. I mean, how much money can you really make from selling it on? It's never worth it. It's bought, sold and spent in minutes. No ones going to be set up for life from selling 4 plastic figures are they? I don't get that at all unless you're betting the resale value on another horse. It's a mugs game.

I wish i knew about cheap toys years ago. I think people are just getting rid of their cheap toys now in fear that the value will decrease once the minkins come out. I hope someone on this site wins them.
also Rus, you think we'll ever see any ulta rares for minikins?

I don' think ppl are getting rid of them for fear Minikins will decrease the price. I think it's the opposite. Ppl are hoping to cash in on the renewed interest Minikins will bring. It's the 1st toy line we have had since the 80's.

I think they have already went up due to interest in minikins. commons are now costing me $10-$15 on average whereas a few months ago I getting them for $5-$8. this is no different than how OS cards are selling for more due to new collectors and renewed interest in bns.

For the record I'm NOT a profiteer like some of you who DON'T EVEN KNOW ME think. Some of you disaprove of my collecting habits...because why? I don't follow the collectors' handbook? I live in a 2 bedroom apt with Liz along with 5 kids! We don't make a lot of money,so when unexpected financial difficulties come up (car repairs, not enuff hours at work, medical, etc),I'm forced to sell off some of my stuff. I should'nt have to explain WHY I do the things I do with MY toys. But hopefully now you have some insight as to who 'Czarcher' is. So if you still have a problem or don't like me,then thats YOUR problem.

I should'nt have to explain WHY I do the things I do with MY toys. But hopefully now you have some insight as to who 'Czarcher' is. So if you still have a problem or don't like me,then thats YOUR problem. Mate, I don't think anyones accusing you of that. At the end of the day, the only marker that dictates the value of something is the current or last sale value. While these figures are "rare" one could accuse others of inflating the price when it comes to collecting on account of the fact that they're more than aware of the atypical collector - he or she will pretty much pay thru the nose to obtain a missing piece of their collection. While there's nothing illegal about that sort of exploitation, if you label yourself a collector yet you seem to sell off just as much as you buy then don't claim to be a collector. The types of people that purchase items for the purposes of reselling, otherwise known as dealers, are themselves responsible for dictating the price of a collectible. I have no issue with someone acquiring a figure to sell off in a niche environment such as the UG. That's the kind of thing that helps to make these figures available to their respective audience. Like i said above, In this instance the only way I can see this getting up somebody else's nose is if you palm yourself off as a collector yet you resell your "collection" at a much higher price than you paid for it, 5 minutes after you bought it. To be honest Bryce, while I'm not singling you out as I don't know of you regarding this as personally I've never had any dealings with you, this has appeared to touch a nerve. If you're buying it to sell it, fine. You were perfectly honest about that after you suggested buying the collection and offering me the Still Jill which was really considerate as I've been after that figure for some time. I respect the honesty and appreciate the offer however on this occasion I'll pass. Thanks. Lots of us can't afford the price of a collection such as the current ebay offering, however we might be in a better position to afford a singular figure, in which case if you feel as though you can supply that demand then by all means. But if you have a collector who is willing to bow down to the high prices from a dealer then the collector is just as responsible for driving prices and the dealer is. If I had little to no interest in my figures I'd sell them in a shot. Regarding having little interest, I'm not the biggest fan of series 2 figures and if I was in the position to buy one I'd use it as a trade for a figure I actually wanted. The only figure I do want from that set is Jill and that's purely for the sculpt and not for the value. But each to their own I guess.
