Saw the new Die Hard. I really enjoyed it. Not the best of the series but a worthy addition to the franchise. If it was rated "R" it might have been better. I might see Transformers tomorrow. It's a Michael Bay film so i'm not expecting much. Special FX never trump a bad plot.

The Oscars are usually accurate, Cory. I guess you're one of those types that prefers the MTV movie awards, though. "Bad Boys II should've won! Why didn't Halle Berry win for Catwoman!?!?" :evilblue:

I also find great irony in a guy that collects cards intended for children telling me to grow up. :lol1: Talk to the hand, girlfriend. :nail: :lol1:

i want to see Ratatouie the most out of everything. It has the best reviews, almost outstanding, and i just like animation more, i guess. I'll prolly see both, but Ratatouie i know will be the winner when all is said and done.

Ratatouille actually looks good. I usually stay away from talking CG animal movies. Reviews say it's more adult friendly, not littered with pop references. The Transformer movie is basically an animated movie with all the CG. Oh and Halle totally should have won for Catwomen

If the new Transformer movie is half as good as this then I'll see it for sure.

The "little details" in Ratatouille are extraordinary...the cracks in the sidewalks of Paris, the aromas around the cuisine, the geography and depth, the atmospherics, the human elements (all of it was really mixed well)...and the characters are consistently funny with lots of emotion. And there's also a good balance between human and animal characters as well...Cheers, Galaxy

I also find great irony in a guy that collects cards intended for children telling me to grow up. Talk to the hand, girlfriend. GPK appealed to me when I was 10 just like Transformers and the rest of the cool stuff. Cartoon rats? You gotta be kidding me. You are are Pixar fanboy and any garbage they make is gold to you. I don't back any studio. I just like good movies made for people over the age of 2. Whatever though, like I said watch your cartoons. Somebody needs to watch them with the kids. You think the Oscars are good. That's f**cking funny. You're taste in everything is horrible.

:lol1: Go eff yourself, Cory, you wouldn't know a good movie if it hit you in the face. You're in the clear minority here, dude, take a look around this thread. Go enjoy Transformers, with its lower score than Shrek 3: movies.aol.com/movie/transformers-2007/21801/reviews :evilblue: Galaxy, I loved the aromas. Probably my favorite thing, animation-wise, aside from the Paris skyline. It's Brad Bird's knack for storytelling that drives it home, though. It was between seeing that or Die Hard, and I was kinda sad at the time, so I decided to see Ratatouille. Put a smile on my face for the rest of the night. All other animated studios should just give up. :evilblue:

They are just a pretentious pile of fucktards that get off on putting good movies down because they just don't "get" it. They are the first idiots to put down a movie for not being realistic then praise a movie about a talking rat. I can see how a cartoon would get high scores from these jerkoffs though. How could you not get a story where the main character is a rat and is based on simple humor to make 3 year olds laugh. BTW I never said I liked Shrek. Shrek is responsible for the retarded animal talking CGI cartoon explosion that you so love.

That is good to hear. I only go to the movies about once in 5 years or so. (2 movies since the millinium LOR Two Towers and Troy... Two towers was good but slow and Troy blah.. I wish I saw Gladiator in the movies) I really liked Transformers when I was a kid and I kinda thinking of maybe going to the movie. The CNN movie review kinda ripped it up though.... I'd say that if you aren't a Transformers fan then you probably won't get too much enjoyment out of it. Also, don't sit close or see this movie in IMAX, there is just way too much going on for your eyes to see it all. I saw everything fine on a normal screen and sitting about 5 rows from the back. I think that's what happened to me. You have to sit close to the back. I sat near the middle front and lost some of the stuff happening during the second half of the film. I did enjoy the movie lots.

I finally watched a "CAM" version of Transformers that I downloaded last night...What a F%$#@&g great movie!!! The only disappointing part was a quote from the main character "Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf)"
"Nah, I think there's more to you than meets the eye." The character of Sam uses this quote in response to Mikaela's (Megan Fox) question, "Do you think I'm shallow?"
:WTF: -TCT

I don't have time to elaborate right now, but I saw Transformers this morning and absolutely loved it! It was a blast!!! When you do have time to elaborate can you post on a scale from 1-10 how awesome the Starscream scenes were in the city. 10 being the highest. Starscream scenes in the city = 10 Another thing I really liked about the movie is that you were instantly thrown into some kick-ass Transformer action within minutes. It wasn't like waiting an hour to see King Kong...or 1 hour+ to see the boat in Titanic...it was lights-out, ACTION! Really nice touch. The acting was a little hokey and there were some lines (as well as characters) that could have been removed but nothing too bad. And what the f**k was with Turturro's character? He was all over the map! The action scenes were unreal...and thx to Cory's advice, we sat 3 rows from the top - it was perfect. Also, I don't know why people are saying it was more comedy than action...that's completely untrue. And the cartoons back in the day had some real campy humor to them as well. I thought they did a good job mixing the two. In the words of 'Alternate-1985-Biff-Tannon'...'Great flick - great friggin' flick!'
