I thought there was already a thread like this. Maybe it was on GPKC i can't remember.
well, i saw the Hills have Eyes the other night and.... well.... it was cool, but not scary. My fiance was totally scared but it didn't do it for me. Typical short sided directing and such.
I DID however buy the first season of Wonder Shozen which is beyond any measurement of kick ass@ I love the obscure and surreal and this takes the cake. THe episode entitled "Patience" really puts you to the test as David Lynch's first film "Eraserhead" would do. Very weird. I couldn't praise this DVD more if i had 11teen pages. Check it out!

I did not like The Hills Have Eyes at all. The whole movie just completely sucked to me. Last weekend we saw Stay Alive which was short but really good. I am looking forward to seeing Take the Lead and Silent Hill.

I thought there was already a thread like this. :lol1: This is like the tenth time someone has said that starting a thread. There are a ton of threads that I can't find on here anymore either. I don't know what happened.

The old movies thread was on page 4 or 5 of the anything board back when I moved it to the post graveyard. Last post was in September so we probably needed a new one anyway. :mischief:

I love my horror as well. Slither looks very good. I'm afraid of certain bugs and things of that nature.

I saw Silent Hill the other day and dare I say it was actually not that bad. Its not really super scary or anything but it is the BEST video game movie I've seen so far. Not a ton of CGI. Starts kinda slow. Pretty good music.....kinda creepy, pretty good story.

LOL mortal kombat was pretty damn cool. I really want to see Silent Hill, i like the whole deformed looking people bit. seems to be a smash with the horror movie creators since that girl in the closet in the first Ring movie.

As a gigantic fan of the SH series, I actually liked the SH movie. It missed a few things, got a lot of others right. Here's my mini-review (I even mention GPK at the end, unrelated)... blogs.ign.com/ZoopNOVA/2006/04/21/13499/

I got to see this the other night. I must say I was shocked by some of the things that happened in the movie. :luis: Just as great as the others though. ;D I thought this would be the last one but judging the end there will be another. :sniglet: Is anybody looking forward to seeing the new X-Men movie? I know I am!!

I watched this last week and I like this one the best out of them all. I really missed nightcrawler, but there was so much killing that it easily made up for it.

We saw that xmen movie opening weekend. I am not into those sort of movies but I actually enjoyed. Really kept my attention now I want to watch the others again.
I heard the omen is supposed to be good....did anyone go see that last night? We are going to try to go see it this weekend and take the kids to see Cars...that looks like it will be a cute family movie.

Anyone check out Pirates 2? Saw it last weekend and in was pretty good but not as good as the first. I saw it. It was marginal. I won't watch it again. The best movie of the summer is going to be that Will Ferrell NASCAR movie. I can't wait to see it.

I wrote the IGN DVD review for Thumbsucker. Loved it.
Pirates 2 was okay. Too much boom, not enough talky. First was MUCH better. 7/10, first is a high 9/10.

I saw Monster House 3-d yesterday. Not the typical movie I would go to but down here we usually dont have 3-d movies all that often. The glasses they give you are awsome. If you haven't seen a 3-d movie and you get a chance to its not that bad. Even the previews were in 3-d.

You saw it in 3-D? I didn't, but I could imagine that it would be pretty cool in 3-d.

Has anyone seen World Trade Center yet? I've been torn between that and Snakes on a Plane. One of my friends has already seen S.O.A.P. 3 times. Little weird...
