Thanks Liquidfox and GPsketchKing. And I was very tempted to paint an eye on his tail! I decided against it in the end though, as I thought it might blend in with the white of his diaper. Didn't think of that at all. Good call. Tommy Tomb / Ruth is just as good. He is painted very well! Especially the blotting of the gray on the bandages. Hope you do another.

I'm a bit behind as usual with updating....but here we go. I asked Mr. Monserrat to take some ideas I had and turn them into something and here is two of them. When photobucket decides to play ball I will post the rest. Joltin Joe, an absolute beast. Pre Blackwater this guy was making it happen. If no one else can help...and if you can find him...maybe you can hire... I wanted a little spin on Dead Ted. I didn't even realize that JM had painted the border white and then painted the fingers over it here until by chance looking at this in the sun one morning. I love the 3-D effect. . All I have to say here is dude, you got a little throw up on your chin. More coming soon.

Any idea about the premise of this game? Looks like some sort of puzzle building is involved.
Really cool!

I really like the signed gum. At first I thought all that stuff was drawn on the gum itself. Huge collection! Can't wait to see the new ads.

Simko put in some work on BNS 1. I don't think I have seen one of his sketches that I haven't wanted so far. My pockets aren't that deep. I couldn't pass on these though. That dudes just crazy.

Feedback Type: Positive Type of Transaction: Helped me acquire a sketch card for my collection. Size of Transaction: Medium Comments: I needed some help from Keir in contacting a seller and purchasing a card. He unselfishly hooked it up and came through in spades. He is definitely one of the good ones out there.
Thanks Keir.

I just finished up this painting of Adam Bomb (Blasted Billy) my very first try at painting a GPK on a 5 inch x 7 inch surface. Great first try! Probably would be pretty good for a second try too. I really like the effect that airbrushing gives. Pound did a lot with that tool and some of it's effects are just too hard/ impossible to duplicate with a watercolor marker or paint pen. You did a great job here and it is very impressive.

I don't know, those rival some of the official sketch cards.
They are almost as good as Zapata's painting.

I also picked up a few sketch cards over the last year. I was surprised to see this unique Lynch for sale on ebay. This was a BIN no brainer. Though not quite what I wanted, I figured this Layron would be one of the only full color sketches to rear its head anytime soon. I also picked up two Zapatas I liked. Shaped Sketch? Can't explain it, but it works for me. And for Indy...all of the Lynches together with some bonus glare thrown in.

I can't believe I haven't updated my collection in a year. Not so spectacular but long overdue... Over the past year I have been trying to grab well centered OS1 cards off of ebay. For a while last Fall it seemed like I was getting a new card every few days. This culminated in the early new year with an awesome lot off of ebay that was someone left overs from grading...I think it was seventy some cards which were all well centered and in great shape. I figured I would take a OS1 collection update picture of the same style as my first just to see how far I have come. It also helps me know where my gaps are so I can start to collect productively instead of just buying random cards. .

The cards are great!
Did you let those guys pick what they wanted to do from the movie or did you have something specific in mind?
The most fun was watching the clips. I haven't seen that movie in a long time.

I like the picture! Good concept as well.
Lepre Connor is what comes to my mind. It is more of a masculine name. Sure there is Connie Mack but his real name was Cornelius and that was a different time. Not to many guys named Connie these days.

I think the whole composition of the picture makes the AB final very underwhelming. I mean some goof (albeit a nice guy from TCT's account) and a generic cubicle office do not make for a Ta Da moment for me.
Still cool to see though and that mushroom cloud does pop.

Hey guys, I'm not sure about this one but the cat featured on Junky Jeff/Sticky Stan card (OS1) always made me think about Heathcliff (a skinny version of Heathcliff actually)... I never read the comic strip but I was loving the animated series that started in 1984 ("Les Entrechats" in French...). What do you think ? -pepe- Man what a good call. I don't think I would have gotten that in a million years. I used to watch the ish out of the Heathcliff cartoon too.

Na Russ,
I just meant that there was some white space or gaps in between the black outline and the face in some of them that I didn't like.

Here Are the last of my FB2 sketches. The Odd Todd was an impulse buy but I like it! I saw the Dave in other colors, but had to have it when it came through in the retro pink. One thing I looked at when considering this sketch as well as the others that were the same but in a different colors is did Fred leave white space between the black outline and the head. I thought this was the best job he did which was another reason I choose it...not that I had a choice at that point as the others were gone.

So I suppose if your gonna collect GPK sketches you gotta have an Adam Bomb. I think three or four colors of this card have shown up. I like this one the best because it is about the same color as the OS1 wrapper. Thanks to Russ for hooking up the cheapy to go with the card. Later this summer the card and the CT will all sit together in a nice display case.
