Dick Blick is a good place to shop online. I also suggest working coupons and Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I prefer Copic markers for color selection and that they are refillable. Prisma Color Marker’s are good to but I do not believe you can refill them.
If you want to save some money to see what you prefer a lot of hobby retailers have sets that are a notch below those two brands but still good and a bit cheaper.

This one is pretty gross: I like it. Because my mind is always in the gutter....with the positioning of her low hand, that just might not be a zit.

I've been hard at work coming back into the hobby guys. I'd like some feedback about the next lineup: This is cool. Just being honest, but I think you could skip Thanks Gavin. That GPK is pretty much trash and there are so many better ANS to use....like Hollow Wayne or Orange Julius. Really interested to see how Dinah Saur turns out. That sculpt seems like it would be super difficult. Both the characters that Cory mentioned as an alternate to the turkey would have a cool Still Jill like quality to them. Clay Dreidel does too.

Nothing says 3 grand like 10 figures on a paper towel. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been less and less inclined to keep up with the face books. At least that saved me from buying that yellow Jill.

I don’t know, I think Russ should be frozen at 9,999 unless he makes that picture his permanent avatar. If it’s good enough for Tinder it’s good enough for the UG,

Hi all - I’m preparing for a move in a couple weeks and contemplating downsizing my collection, which kills me but I gotta cut weight for the shipment, need some extra cushion money, and sad truth is the collection sits largely untouched in my closet. Haven’t totally committed yet but figured I’d put some feelers out. I have a complete set of both full and empty OS 1-15 Boxes with all associated insert posters. A recent Feebay listing ended at $11,500 and I’m both shocked and curious how realistic that is/was from anyone who has been paying closer attention than me. All my boxes are in great condition with no black lines. I know pictures would/will be helpful but I don’t have time to sit down and take them all right now with other move preps. Greatly appreciate any insights from the group. Full boxes have been selling at a higher price than usual lately. A quick glance at watchcount shows that full boxes in good condition without black lines have been selling for the following prices: 1: $6500-$8500 2: $800-$1000 3: $125-$150 4-9: $80-$90 10: $60-$75 11-14: $100-$125 15: $300-$400 I don't know if these prices included shipping, or if the boxes came with vendor posters. But the above ranges would add up to about $8500-$11,000 for all 15 full boxes. The above figures are dependent on condition and the whims of the buyers. Also, these are the prices for the sale of single boxes. I'm not sure how many people have $8k to $11k to drop on all 15 boxes. But it seems like now is the time to sell. Do buyers of collectibles often have whims?

Beautifully written, rusvan! I’m here looking for the “official” story regarding the Magenta S1 Cheap Toys. I’m surprised they’re not included in this post. Were they discovered after 2010? Is Russ the one to tell that tale? What says you G.I. Jason? Perhaps Ben would log on to chime in too.

An activity book is a great idea! But what is this particular activity? Trace the outline of Adam Bomb? That doesn't seem that challenging or fun, even for a child. Are Italian kids "molto stupido" or something? This was Colin Walton’s last stand.

I'm also into parody stuff... although lately IMO there's been an excessive proliferation of GPK parody stuff... my criteria for collecting (e.g. acquisition decision) have become much more strict as a result... LOL.. I got standards to maintain now that I am no longer a completist...! I’m basically good with just buying the F.U.K. releases and letting everything else go by the wayside.

I was watching the auction end yesterday. I guess the defect was a turn off for people. I think if it was a normal red Glenn it would have gone for a bit more.

I have to disagree. The lighter areas all occur on the outer extremities/edges of the figures. If they sat in the sun or direct UV light, there would be larger areas or complete sides with fading. For example, with Catty Cathy, the fading occurs primarily on her ears and feet, yet her body is fine. I believe it was just a run of shitty plastic that gets lighter and/or fades in the thinner parts of the figures. Probably with age. I don’t know what occurred before I bought them, but for me, they’ve been stored in a case in the dark for a decade. Plus, the rest of my yellow, red, and blue figures all came from the same lot and are just fine. You can see the same thing happening with this Glen figure: http://instagr.am/p/lk4JyZx5si Hi there yall. Ok, so Ive been outa this game for a minute now, but what did I miss? Where did Pink? Novo Glenn come from? Or its a custom? Man it’s been a while. Good to see you poppin around again.

Thank you!
Interesting that they plastic wrapped the figures. I wonder if these may have been inspired by Uranus packaging his customs in slime filled containers?

You gonna buy any of these Sgorbian slimes, Russ? How many cases? Just one, only because they are the 2013 painted ones that Topps counldnt sell. If they are some that were made in weird colors I would personally fly to Italy open every case I could find, throw away the slime and ship the figures back to my house and fly home. I still feel these are some of the greatest GPK packaging of all time (GPKOAT) And why couldn’t Minkins have been packaged this way here? I was excited for about 2 second when I saw these and then realized what the figures actually were(Minikins) but good for somebody doing something semi new. What about the little booklets though? Let’s see them,

Well it WAS 1500, now only 1000....strike my comment now that it's reasonably priced. ... Yes that was sarcasm Glenn looks like he has penises for back legs, and I may scream if I see another blue / green....Unless it’s a series 1 Novo that is. Then it would be a cry of joy. Anyway, a bit overpriced but series 2 figures have really dried up so you never know.

Seems like they may be leaning toward charging quite a bit for the statue or at least that was my impression when I took the survey. I wouldn't buy one just because I don't need more "stuff" but if I was considering it, around a $50 price point would be the line for me. I bet that might not be doable with licensing and production costs, but to me this is just a bigger version of the multiple Funko figures that are already out there. It does light up but that is not much of a wow factor for me.
It will be interesting to see how this evolves.

I agree, not sure how to do it though? Go into whatever section you want to create a thread in and in the top right corner there will be a button that says create thread. When you click on it, you will be taken to a box that looks similar to a thread post but it will be the means to start a new thread. Hope that helps.

So seems like late spring was the time to sell as Cheap Toys were on a hot streak and now we are back to a buyers market with some folks who paid good coin for series one rares turning right around and selling them.
I just made this post cause I was sick of seeing that stupid Funko Pop NYCC post on the homepage for the CT section.

Does the pack have a Garbage Pail Kids banner or a Garbage Gang banner?? If it’s Garbage Gang DO NOT OPEN! There’s no known examples of MIP Garbage Gang Cheap Toys! If it’s UK Garbage Pail Kids it doesn’t matter much, they aren’t as rare as they used to be. That said, that’s the only way to get the UK Green variant. This might be a stupid question, but what's stopping someone from removing the twist-tie, looking at the toy inside, and then putting the twist-tie back on? It seems like it would be really easy to do that and then make it look like the package had never been opened. Since a Cheap Toy is in a plastic bag that you have to rip or cut to open, in theory it is still unopened even if the twist tie is off or has been put back on.
