Even if I'm a fervent supporter of the accent, I have to confirm : in French, accented capital letters are not an obligation...

I already posted this in another thread ( link) : Bérurier Noir is the headlining band of the french punk scene in the 80's. They released a live LP in 1990 untitled "Viva Bertaga". The front cover of this album features several Crados-like cards representing the band members : A better pic of these Crados-like cards : The vinyl was reissued in 2012 and can be purchased via eBay.fr... A tribute album was released in 2001 : different punk bands covered Bérurier Noir songs. The vinyl sleeve contained this booklet featuring a GPK borrowing :

Just received my Dead Panini sets. These are really weird but I dig them! These are produced by a French alternative comics publisher. Glad you like it !

Following the wild success of Les Crados releases, Elvifrance (a French erotic comics publisher) launched in 1991 a series of stickers called "Monsters" : Looks like a blend of Basil Wolverton's Ugly Stickers and Panini stickers... In these packs of cards, there were also some assorted tricks (these cards were called "Les Gerbos") : I liked that kind of stuff when I was a kid...

I really need to update some of the traded/sold pieces in the first post of the thread, so my actual collection is "current". Most of the items i sold/traded were later pound and bunk roughs to go toward finals... Anyway, when this came up i had to have it despite the bananas high price tag and worked out a much better (still crazy) deal with the seller. Definitely one of my OS favorites! OS8 Waffle Ira/ Griddled Greta Le Waffle... absolutely amazing piece...

There were many times where the lips were out of sync with the voice. I thought the background music was too loud and would drown out the interviews at times. +1 : the sound level of background music is a real pain. It makes the interviews difficult to hear sometimes, I had to prick up my ears during the all documentary. I also agree with Cory about the movie stuff : a few minutes would have been enough. Otherwise, I really had good time listening to the artists, the interviews are definitely a strong point. As an alt comix fan, I enjoyed the fact that the interviews of Spiegelman, Pound and Bunk (I'm thinking about the visit of his studio in the bonus) are partially dedicated to their work as comics artists. The original score by DR CHUD is pretty fun. Overall, the documentary is definitely well worth the wait. Thanks a lot to the team of passionate people involved in this project ! [ dreamer mode on] And, as I said elsewhere, I'd love to see a second episode dedicated to foreign releases that would not be a long list of rare items but an analysis of the phenomenon in the other countries. There are so much aspects I would love to hear : - there are a lot of things to say about the French release ( garbagepailkids.proboards.com/thread/14463/history-crados-cousteau-politics-influences) - how the cards were used in different countries... for instance, Game8 told me that in Netherlands, kids were throwing cards against walls : I use to play that game when i was a kid. You would trow the cards against the wall from 10m or so and when the card would fall on top of another card you would win the game and the cards on the ground. Thats why so many uk cards have corner damage here- would definitely love to learn more about some other releases (european, south american, israeli...) - a real investigation about "test sets" and Bukimi Kun would also be awesome [ dreamer mode off]

I received my rewards this week and waited to have the best possible conditions to watch the documentary... I finally watched it yesterday and I really had a good time hearing all the artists anecdotes ! While it has been a while coming, it is definitely well worth the wait. Now I'm waiting for the second episode dedicated to foreign releases...

That's so tough to pick just one card ! The ultimate piece for the French fan that I am would be Explorin' Norman. I know it's just considered as an ordinary card for most of the US collectors but this guy was everywhere in France in the late 80's... The art is objectively pretty weak overall but this is the first image that I have in my head when I hear about Les Crados. I would definitely be able to sweat blood and tears to get the final art... but I guess it will never happen...
