REAL NAME: Daniel AGE: 27 OCCUPATION: Paint Inspector at Ford HOBBIES: Pro Wrestling, Cooking, sports in general, restoring Old Schwinn Bicycles of the 60's and early 70's FAV GPK: Still new but a tie between the chrome series and the original, brain fart I was thinking in terms of series. Favorite GPK - Jose Can You See FAV MOVIES: Pulp Fiction, Rubber, Robocop, Beatlejuice FAV MUSIC BANDS: Chance the Rapper, The Go! Team, Datarock, Shadowrunners, Young Lean, Miami Nights 1984, Kavinski, Girl Unit, Hudson Mohawke FAV TV PROGRAMS/ CARTOONS: Lucas Bros. Moving Co., Rick and Morty, Better Call Saul, Bob's Burgers PIC OF YOU: LINKS: SPECIAL TALENTS/SUPER POWERS: I can wiggle my ears? Around New Years 2014 I found a binder full of the Original series at a local used Books, Games, and Music store which was unusual and on a whim bought the whole thing. There wasn't a complete series but there was enough to start with and spark my interest. Funny enough 2 days later I kept noticing GPK at different booths at a flea market, most were over priced but I bought a few pages off a short middle aged guy selling vintage porn. By the end of the week I had over 400 (including duplicates). Since then I've tapered off, I haven't found any more places selling older cards aside from one comic book store on occasion. Usually when I go to Target or Toys R Us I make it a point to buy at least one pack of whatever they have, which has produced a huge stack that I need to get a new binder for. I've picked up the bug again in the last week or so after seeing so many posts of cool and rare pieces on the GPK Marketplace on Facebook, I ended up grabbing a few 2014 collectors edition and 2015 21+1 packs as well as the comics and a base 2013 chrome set. So far I haven't snagged anything rare or worth over $5, but between buying the small packs at Dollar Tree and picking from what's left at Target and TRU I didn't expect to. Still new to the whole hobby, I've been wondering what's the best way to get the rare cards? I've bought the 4-pack boxes and the 21+1 packs and wondered if there's a different place I should look for those or is there a different packaging to look for. Welcome to the UG! The best way to get rare cards is buying full hobby boxes. If you only buy at retail stick to the bonus boxes. Many of the loose packs at retail are searched, so you have little to no chance of finding anything good.

Recently started rehashing my love for GPK and decided I wanted to finally put together a proper collection since the interest never faded. Hey all. I started my collection of GPK when I was a young kid. I remember riding my bike to the store when I had a couple bucks and spending at least half of it on GPK before I dove into the selection of penny and nickel candy which I would then consume while opening my new packs of cards. I found a stack of those cards a while back while digging through some stuff at my mother's house and it ignited that passion for collection GPK all over again. I am really amazed with how knowledgeable and helpful the GPK community is and I'm happy to be a part of it.

My mom used to buy me packs of GPK's at a local drug store as a kid when they first came out. I played with them, wrote on them, stuck them on things. I forgot about them for many years. In 2012 I learned they were still making them and somehow it sparked my interest. I have since put a pretty decent collection together and am very addicted. Hi, so I was at target a few months ago and saw the battle of the bands blaster for sale, I bought 2 thinking it was a one time release. I then went home and dug out the cards I had as kid and was surprised how many gpk’s I had saved. Mostly OS2,3 and 4. Then I checked eBay and said yikes they got some value to them. And now I’m hooked, collecting and building sets.
Jared
Fave movie, pulp fiction and the departed
Fave gpk: tough one, dead ted, live mike and prob more that I’m not thinking of atm.
Currently building the 30th Anniversary set and trying to reacquire the OS1 cards that I lost as a kid

FAV GPK: Dead Ted/Jay Decay
FAV MOVIES: Return of the Living Dead, mostly horror and comedy.

SPECIAL TALENTS/SUPER POWERS:
I started collecting GPK's around OS3 and all the way to OS15. I had a massive collection of them by the time the series ended. I always kept them in a shoe box and late last year I saw them in my attic and thought "I should probably put these in sleeves and binders and take better care of them". So I organized them all and started putting them in sleeves and realized I had about 85% of most of the series complete. So started searching for the missing ones I needed on eBay and now I'm 1 card away from having the OS1-OS15 complete.

I got the three disc set with the soundtrack included. What a weird, great movie. EDIT: I know Suspiria isn't 1980s, but it is quality and thus worth the mention.

Hey thank you, nice to meet you! It's good to meet another fan. The Evil Dead was definitely the gateway movie to all the cult films I love today. I pretty much saw The Evil Dead movies, The Robocop trilogy, and the Mad Max films all around the same time when I was a middle schooler and I've been obsessed ever since. Haha and yes Mad Max 2! As a USAmerican it was The Road Warrior of course, but I've never cared for that name and as a movie nerd I want to call a movie by it's original title -like Peter Jackson's Dead Alive is Braindead for me, unless I can't pronounce the original name so that's most Japanese films.
And yes the original Robocop ha! I was really excited for the remake and I tried really hard to like it...but it's just too clean and soulless compared to the original. I heard they're trying to reboot the franchise again and the next movie will be more like a sequel to the original film? I'm down for that. I'd buy that for a dollar.
