That is awesome! The fact that you still have the Original GB and bag is righteous.  Thanks for sharing, I haven't seen that Mario start screen in years. I would like to give Super Mario Land 2 a try....Has anyone played that? |

I would like to give Super Mario Land 2 a try....Has anyone played that? Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins was much better than Mario Land 1. Wario made his debut and it was set up in a Mario 3/Super Mario World overworld format. It had it's own unique power up - Rabbit Mario. The game was much longer than the original as well. It's a great game. I'd like to play it again sometime. Also, you need to pick up Zelda: Link's Awakening if you haven't played it yet. Incredible game. Just don't get the DX version, it won't work on the OG gameboy. |

Well, I'm in Dallas, TX so it's not like I'm in a wild part of town or anything, but we've had some crazy stuff come in at times. We picked up a baby kangaroo once from some exotic-animal-wanting person who didn't know how to take care of the thing. We took a lion from someone who kept insisting that the tail waving under the door was that of a dog. When i worked the front counter someone brought in a young dear that I had to take care of for a day until we got it to a rescue group. Oh and one New Year's we got a call about a dead tiger in a field. We laughed, and sent out sanitation to get whatever it was (we only handle live animals in our dept.). So Sanitation calls us back and tells us, "believe it or not, it's a tiger." So yeah, that's some of the more exotic things we've gotten in. We do get fun stories to tell our friends and families, that's for sure. Who knew what kind of crazy stuff you could encounter in the city.

Awesome Timmy, I'm glad more people enjoy older hip-hip. I feel it really took a s**t around '99.
When I was in the Navy, a buddy ordered this ungodly heavy collection of the complete Airwolf series VHS. I was so excited to watch it again as I never missed it with my dad back in the day. However watching it as an older guy I realized that only part I enjoy was the last 5 minutes:
-theme music as they jump in and ready Airwolf
-using the turbo booster thing
-not doing enough damage or missing with the machine guns
-(optional) use flares to escape danger
-one-shot kill from the under-carriage missiles
And that's about it!

Maybe it's because we are getting old  I still remember wrecking tapes in my walkman. Damn the time goes. Airwolf theme music is tight. You can always count on the "end of episode" battle where there is always someone with a barely inferior helicopter. It's like the Rocky movies, I'd me happy watching loops of the final fights!! Fox: Was that album any good? I like most of GK's stuff, haven't heard Raekwon n a long time. |

I'm new to the board but not to GPK. I've been collecting them since the 80's. REAL NAME: Dave AGE: 33 OCCUPATION: Power Plant Operator HOBBIES: I like to collect things. I have over 600 CD's; over 300 minidiscs, 10 minidisc players; a whole bunch of old sports cards, mostly baseball cards; Garbage Pail Kids and similar types of cards but I haven't gotten into Wacky Packages lately. I also like music, mostly hard rock, alternative and metal but I do like old gangster rap and 80's music. I like to golf but I am not very good at it.
