Dang it. I have a few prints of his hanging on my walls and have a collection of his cards he produced independently. If these allegations are true, I will probably throw away everything I have collected. He was one of my favorites, and his stuff was prized, but there is no lower form of human scum than child predators. So disappointed.

In situations like this you have to separate their body of work separately from their personal life. His name is being dragged through the mud for possibly no reason. Dumbfucks on facebook immediately called him guilty and they only heard one side of the story. I have spoken with Luis a few times over the past several years and we've sometimes talked about both of our personal lives and let's just say there is enough doubt in my mind because of some what he has told me. Not enough for me to defend him as innocent since I really don't actually know him but certainly enough that I'm not going to say he's guilty of something this serious without knowing more. I have a really good buddy whos ex took him to court simply out of vindictiveness for breaking up with him. Another co-worker whos exwife made wild accusations after a divorce to keep him away from his kids. Don't get me wrong more often than not these kinds of allegations are true and we need to foster an environment where women can feel safe reporting serious abuse. But these things DO happen and I do hope that that is whats happening here. Right now, everyone from friends to family and now all the gpk fans are demonizing him. And that's exactly what something like this is designed to do. This is often the nuclear option that a crazy ex (of any gender) takes when they really want the person out of their life for good. In short, man deserves his day in court to defend himself and it's sad that this is even reported in a place like this. If he's guilty, he'll get what he deserves, there's no reason everyone should be dragging him through the mud before then. |
