I know he used an alias on FB for some time. He was Lucian Everhard. He was very secretive about his real name, but I do remember getting mail from him with a return address label that said Victor Moreno. Who knows, maybe he was using this as a way to throw me off so I wouldn't know his real name lol. ya lucian on fb. and i know you knew him from the 80s playground as well and might have some other info. ya so interesting...nice guy and very creative. he organized an entire crew of fan sketch artists before topps got into fan artists becoming official. i agree on the secrecy around his identity. interesting on moreno name being dropped, makes wonder if it was a throw off or actual. Yup, him and Dodger started the sketch card craze with the Smetch Fest they used to hold where people could swap sketches. Apparently Topps picked up on that and cashed in on the craze. Now, sketch cards go for more than original artwork in some cases. And yea, I think he was throwing me off with his name because he didn’t trust many people at all. I remember him saying he was afraid Travis was going to track him down for exposing the Hundreds Set scam.

Where is our beloved GPK detective to investigate on updates. He's been missing for a loooong time. Does anyone remember him, he used to have some 80s board website. Been a while since I used a forum... So I will make this quick and easy. 1. I dont know anymore than any of you in regards to what Luis has done in the past. What I can tell you however and this is obviously why my name is being mentioned here, luis has not given me anything in return for the 4000$ I gave him for a commission of a custom star wars painting based on his leia/jabba mashup gpk back in 2011/12. This is also the main reason I left the hobby and why my nice guy attitude turned sour. After waiting 5 years for him to start the painting I basically gave up trying to contact him. I have been waiting for the day that he would contact me but alas most of my old accounts have all gone inactive or blocked on fb by someone who wanted revenge after the hundreds fiasco. After all these years of waiting, closing in on 9 ( yup I, as a huge fan of his art, have not gone to court against him for this), I am still hoping luis will do the right thing one day. Luis if you read this you can reach out to me at gpkcollector@hotmail.com 2. 80s playground and my photobucket account were hacked around the same time I lost my lucian fb account. The gpk community lost out on a lot of saved info that I was bundling together to give to aaron booten for his site. I still have about 100,000 catalogued pictures and videos that could well go in a book documenting this new gpk craze that started roughly around the time I first made an account here in 2009. Hopefully one day I can take care of that as I want nothing more for the hobby to succeed and continue as i have seen many positive changes over this past year that are definitely going in the right direction ( cough: back art) 3. Lastly a shout out to some people who may not expect it: 1. Everyone (Whaaaaaaaaatttttt?) Yup, good or bad everyone in this hobby has helped keep gpk alive and I would be lying if I didn't miss those days when junghwa Im was still working for topps. Release day was fun Haha. I dont regret mustache max final from her though. Priceless to me. Loving the new fan sets jimbo and Mark's stuff is still killing it ( long time customer 4. I am thrilled that everyone who was part of the 80s set as an artist made it as a sketch artist at topps. It is a little sad we never got a chance to produce it but in reality it was a good thing it didn't come to fruition for obvious reasons. We still had a hell of a lot of fun doing it and who knows maybe one day I can at least show it to some of you at a future gpk convention ; 5. In conclusion. This lawsuit filed against luis diaz and that from topps does not diminish his art. Cory is right in that. Whether luis is guilty is not personally my concern but I definitely see a trend and even though I dont want to judge I do regret not speaking out about this in the past as I truly believed he would start my painting one day. At this point I am just like the rest of you, waiting for a verdict.

Sorry to hear about all that has happened to you. I used to be bit active back then now I have toned it down since I don't do the new stuff, but I still buy ANS when the price is right but am mainly on getting the final art.
