Japan Bukimi Kun album (1st print run) COMPLETE Bukimi Kun SEALED PACK (2nd print run/censored/no bar code) The king of GPK kings. A great memory will stay with me forever - Acquiring one of the above items, and 1 other BK item not in this picture I've owned previously but now traded. My girlfriend (now mrsrmfkid) and I agreed to go on holiday to a country we've always wanted to visit, so we booked it up and starting getting excited. At this time I was in full collector mode and talking to the right sources, of which one special source was luckily situated in the right country so we agreed I would meet them there to do the deal. Little did my girl know that this was also going to be the holiday where I proposed to her. So for her to say yes in the garden of our villa, after travelling around the amazing country for that week, I also secured the ultimate of GPK items. Awesome. This complete 1st print run album (which I acquired 8 months after the above story) was from the UK owner that acquired it from the original owner where some key UG contacts went round their house and verified it, so this is the genuine article and I am still astounded at how this item is in the best condition of all my GPK items, mint. Each sticker is perfectly placed in their boxes, staples don't have any rust at all. How amazing is that. and that's why I had to "commit" to this so heavily. The sealed pack is from the 2nd print run, which doesn't include the bar code like the 1st print run packs/wrappers. This 2nd print run had the censored cards and this pack has a censored card underneath the front, you will see much clearer in my close ups section being posted in a couple of days. Again, such a powerful GPK item, which I'm really proud to own.

That's section 1 done I hope you love it as I do, all countries documented in full only using 1 photo for fronts and 1 for backs that include every single album pack/wrapper and numerical sticker published (bar German Test set pack and Peru pack/s, and the last 330 singles I need).
3 years ago I had a vision in my mind just after I had that strong feeling when I first got the collector passion (see my intro thread for what I mean by this "strong feeling"), and the vision after was all to do with getting complete perspective on the GPK world of foreign items. So these quite formal documented photos were actually done as a side note to my main mission to give me complete perspective, which Ill post a photo of at the end of the close up section. I love it and I hope you will to. More on this later.
Ill post section 2 - miscellaneous items tomorrow. then close ups of rare items after that.
I'm off to make a cup of tea. enjoy....

thanks JD, I think the GPK gods (is there a God character?) were shining down on me during that time of my story. Maybe some payback for the effort it took to get this collection to where it is. GPK always worth the effort though, no matter what.

Now for section 2, which will be a mix of rare, cool, custom, bootleg, merch and miscellaneous items. Enjoy.... As we just finished the documentation of the main 22 GPK countries with Japan, here are my BK singles. Please note, they are not all with backs. I own 7 with full original backs. The other 8 are stuck on white paper which were then trimmed (not by me) so only thin edges of paper remain, most of the stuck down ones came from the original owner of the complete BK album. Ill show more close ups and uses of the 7 with backs later.

I've got an amateurish question but it's something I've wondered about for a long time. Why on some of the foreign cards do they block out the image, such as the card with Furry Fran?

I've got an amateurish question but it's something I've wondered about for a long time. Why on some of the foreign cards do they block out the image, such as the card with Furry Fran? The blocked-out images are from the second Bukimi-kun run. No one really knows the reason they were censored if the first run wasn't, but a lot of the cards that are censored tend to be focused on deaths/executions (Fryin' Brian, Guillo Tina) or deformities (Schizo Fran, Many Lenny). Some of the choices don't make a ton of sense though.

BOOM!!
Think I've just secured myself a Peru wrapper!! (Not the orange one either!)
Early days obviously as dealing with South America is never certain until it's in hand, but there is hope and an agreement. (And 'hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things')

ANS 1-7 complete numerical base sets Flash Back 1-3 complete numerical base sets BNS 1-3 complete numerical base sets As I said at the start, my rules are foreign GPK from each country, not modern stuff if its from a country I already have the old stuff from, so these don't appear in my main documented country by country collection. I'm not a fan of the business plan Topps uses so dont care much for modern sets, but I still love the fact GPK is a parody of my life, from age 5 to age 36 and counting, so I still enjoy flicking through the proof of each era Ive lived through using art works by the GPK artists who now take over from the old school artists.

This is the first of only 2 bits of art work I own from artists. Mark Pingatore's handy work. I will never get into collecting art as its far too expensive for me considering my foreign passion. So a little reminder that modern life is still being parody'd and from a series I recently watched and loved, I had to snap this up.

My 2nd piece of art, and with a difference... Dustin Graham's handy work, made for FS4. Love the colours and because its related to a new GPK country via the FS lads. This is also the perfect way to show the FanSets next...

Fan Set 1. (Farsi) The awesome and pretty rare 1st FS set. Made for fans, by super fans. Thank you Russ, Adam, and anyone else involved. Superb job to capture the essence of foreign GPK, while capturing a need of foreign collectors like me to represent a new country, that uses such the great visual Farsi language for the banner just as BK and Israel do, the unreadable scripts that give more of an allure to the well known GPK art work. With each of my FS photos, I wanted to include a special piece per set to ensure the sets get represented well. So this FS1 set has a great uncut sheet, and some black and white test proofs of the bonus and promo cards. FanSets - "Designed By Collectors, For Collectors"-TCT

Fan Set 2 (Dutch) The special piece I included was the UG'c Count Chompula card as it was produced in 2011 around the time of FS1-2 and again shows the way the UG's passion for parody of parodys lives on. Big Up TCT and the FS guys. (http://www.gpkblog.com/2011/04/12/garbage-pail-kids-cereal-box-concept/)

Fan Set 3 (Hindi) Another amazing set using script for far off lands and cultures. Its inclusive and a stroke of genius again, now with wax packs. Special items this time include a printing plate of the packs, a test print sheet of a pack, and an envelope printed by one of the guys and sent to a few lucky UG members (not me for the envelope but still managed to bag one from a cool member who has now moved on. I think the burger juggling Buddha is one of my favourite concepts, it works so well!

Fan Set 4 (North Korea!) Such a good country to choose. Love all the extra cards, stickers, B1/P1s produced with it. A lot of real photos mixed with GPK on the backs, and using pin up sexy girls to help push the Korean regime of torture and oppression. Special item is my second piece of owned art, painted for this set by Dustin Graham. Kim would be proud

Fan Set 5 (Aurebesh of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, StarWars) Taking FS into space, great set, using another range of different supporting items like the uncut sheet, crazy borders, and a new style pack more like European sets, and with gum!. My special item for this set is an Artists Proof signature card "AP/100" before he then signed the 100 cards included in each purchase. Amazing effort Adam and Russ. Looking forward to FS6!...

Banded created this set by himself using his graphic designer skills to product his passion for Israel sets, but merge the best characters and support items into a very complete set that works really well. Lovely poster, ALBUM!, sketch cards, puzzle stickers, packs. Truly a great effort. Definitely has a place in my custom collection for foreign creative projects.
