You big tease! Do we even get a hint? It will cost me about a little over 3x the amount of my very first final art I purchased. That is all I can say. Maybe I will share the rest of my art someday when everything is framed and ready for presentation. Until then we should admire Cory's art here on display. Very true! I got mixed up on what thread I was on, been a lot of final art talk lately. Back to drooling on Cory's epic collection. Can't wait to see that crazy alien framed up Cory style proper.

Pound art is the best. It's worth a premium price IMO. Also, there are some good pieces left on Ebay. Sticky Rick, Half Price, Kerosene Kerry are a few of the good ones up there from the OS. The other pieces left are ok to me. Nothing as a must have. I certainly wouldn't pay those prices for them... maybe at a cheaper rate. And Pound art is definitely worth premium funds when you find one you like which is why I believe the one I will be getting soon is worth the price, especially since it is my favorite Pound piece done in that particular serie. You big tease! Do we even get a hint?

Great pickup!! The best final on ebay has gotten scooped up! Congratz! I was tempted for this but I have an OS7 and trying to save up when a sweet OS2 breaks lose. Can't wait to see how you frame it up, you have a gift and as is really isn't up to par for your collection.

I'm going to steal one of Ping's t-shirts and cut it up for artist relics in the new fan set Thats weak. Fan sets should be more baller than that. Boxer/briefs artist relics!! Can't think of anything more baller than that, literally.

Oh... and I already told you but the colors of Mad Donna look great. The painting must be awesome in person... I disagree. The colors, the concept the art, are all off on Mad Donna. You should't have this embarrassment in your collection. Out of the kindness of my heart I will take it off your hands. Yes I know I'm as benevolent as I am humble.

and the last pickup for a long while, but definitely not least! ive had my eye on this piece for quite a long time, so happy that circumstances allowed me to add him to the collection! thanks mark for killing and letting go of the final and billo for parting with the color rough...one of my favorite concepts Great pickup! Very classic piece. Pings color roughs are so tight they almost look like finals. First one I picked up I was blown away. Are you planning to frame them? Maybe together?

1) Would you buy or support a set of cards outside of the "official" name brand stuff by former artists of GPKs?
-Yes!
2) If so what do you expect from such a series? What kind of art requirements? Other things like Bonus Cards? Sketch Cards? Signed cards?
-Those are all nice to have, especially the sketches. But not a requirement. They could work well for kickstarter type rewards., until the initial set gets off the ground. Wouldn't want to get bogged down in too much bonus material and have the set suffer.
3) How important is the design and/or packaging? Does it have to resemble the "official" stuff?
-Main logo, front face of the series has to be great, but the packaging doesn't matter all that much
4) How many cards in a set?
-Quality over quantity.
5) Does something "not official" turn you off? What constitutes something that is official? Is it solely based on a product by a company you know?
-Doesn't matter
6) How much is nostalgia a part of your decision? How much of it is just name recognition and the fact that other fans are collecting the set?
Nostalgia is part of it. The fact that its by fans for fans and not encumbered by bureaucracy is a major draw.
7) Would you be willing to fund such a set if a Kickstarter or some other crowd source system was in place?
-Most definitely.

Does Vegas have a mafia like Chicago did? After seeing one of our own beaten, lying face down in the street, not knowing what happened until the next day, only to hear that he was attacked by the mafia and police because of something that he did not do (and that another UGER did), I am not sure I am up for another UG con. Hopefully, the mfer that framed Dxtr will not be coming. If he is not, I may consider going. OMG Drama bomb!! Seriously thought that sounds messed up. Don't know much about Chicago but at least in Vegas everyone is honest about trying to screw you over.

Art direction and brand direction has been s**t lately with GPK, so my guess is GPK won't be around for much longer. It's a shame how greed and ignorance has completely ruined our favorite little gross characters. Your sets are 10 times better than the garbage being released by Topps, keep up the good work and let's see if we can get more collector's on board with LD! I'll stick around until the pot is empty, but I'm always thinking up some new thing every so often and I have at least enough concepts for 2 more Series. If I had 100 solid supporters there is no limit to what could be accomplished. Could you lay out what your example of a solid supporter would be?

It's unfortunate very rich white men feel the need to destroy the world in this other way and not just by enslaving the masses as they do already, but most people don't have an empathetic bone in their body so everything works really slowly. As for Topps these are the same rich white men that run the world. Perhaps slightly less rich, but nevertheless I think I can't work for anyone anymore. I would be hindered by the art director's vision or the company's. The best thing to do for fans of my work is to support my sets, but only a small percentage do. Either way I'll strive to finish as many concepts as I can, but frankly it won't be forever without some major support. More art next week! I hear ya on that. If you feel like a change of pace and want to do some work for a poor white man for a change let me know.

I wish sports cards, and trading cards in general, didn't traditionally have borders, so Topps wouldn't have that .250 border space to exploit us. Bleed the card images to the edge, fugg borders/frames/walls/compartments/categorizing/prisons... I thought GPK was about breaking down the walls?! Instead, its the walls and borders of the GPKs that define it. Call me racist, but I only like cards with white borders. i'm a white border only supporter also ....but, what if topps did woodgrain borders like their 87 topps baseball set? i can see topps' minds blowing right now, they are screaming at the top of their lungs that woodgrain borders will be in the next series. i'm calling it here, now......WOODGRAIN borders coming soon. Well now we all know who to thank when we need the full cherry, oak and mahogany borders to complete the 975 card set.

Thanks for the detective work Trippy! That guy is extremely shady. That box has probably been searched twice. The packs aren't even all the same, only 3 in the front are 25 cents cheap version. Really sucks that getting an unsearched full box of OS1 is practically impossible.

I saw that it was very nice. Just wondering what his last GPK was, if anyone knows. Did he do any artwork past BNS1?

Does anyone know why John gave up doing commissions? Not really any of my business just wondering if there was some word out there or he just stopped. I had a great commission that he did for me and wanted a companion piece to it, but looks like that won't happen unless he changes his mind. Anyone know the last GPK he did? Or last commission?
