Bottled flatulence? That's gotta be one hell of a factory.

Well the release of the new on-line Rock & Roll Hall of Fame set does nothing to counter the image that Topps is just milking every dollar they can out of their loyal fan base. $49.99 for 20 cards and $7.74 for shipping. It's really crazy to think that they are expecting us to spend almost 60 bucks to work on completing a small fraction of the AAAP series. There is no completion of the AAAP series, it will be like Star Wars movies now; a baby born today that lives to 100 won't see the last AAAP release, just like we'll never see the last Star Wars movie. Also I read your post in Ron Swanson's voice, so thanks for that.

Maybe that full sheet will turn up. Everything was done on it, including the flick it, but it was the tile puzzle version.

The black and silver look really good, but that dried blood color matte really works for the character. You really can't go wrong with that epic piece.

Are you a wizard? Very cool stuff. Someone finished the coloring just not the artist I got it from. It went so far as for Topps to produce a full color acetate sheet. I don't remember where I saw that though, maybe sold from the vault?

Here is what one of the full blueline sheets look like. Again very hard to see but here you go. I think its pretty awesome that they tried to do something special to acknowledge the final series , even though it ultimately never made it to print.

Here is a closeup of one of the blueline panels. This is so when the artist paints the final the thin blue lines don't show up in the printed card. Here I added a card to show the size.

Here is the negative. The negatives and bluelines are the same size, about double the cards? I put in a card in some of the pics to get an idea of how big it is. Very poignant how they mention turning Detroit into GPK land

I have a blue line sheet and a negative sheet (of just the backs) for this set. Pretty cool to see there was an actual story unfolding, and that they knew it was the end. Fitting way to go out, too bad they didn't make it that far. I'd love to see these! I have the comics with their final inking thanks to Aaron @ GPKWORLD, but I can't find the Flick-it anywhere. BTW - You can see all the comic backs I colored on Aaron's site: Barren Aaron's GPK WorldOh wow thats cool, I didn't know they got finished. I guess they went with another artist. I was going to take a vote to see if I should commission him to finish the work or leave the blueline art as is. But I guess I don't need to. The negative and blueline sheets I have are just of the comics, no Garbage Gang header or flick it parts.

This one I feel the concept is better than the art I'm posting, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to get what I want on the paper yet. Still though, it's better than the first Kids I was posting. While I can't say I'm an enthusiast for them, I find the concept of inukshuk interesting. Found near the Arctic, these stone men were used to guide people in place of people, sort of like that guy on the side of the road you drive by and ask where the closest Burger King is. They come in many sizes and shapes, and it's probably easy to say no two are alike. Indeed, this Kid we have today is unique. He's probably the only inukshuk with hands and feet! Speaking of feet, this is the only other Kid I've drawn where you can see their feet besides TAYLOR Moon (Okuu Bomb doesn't count), go figure. In real life I'd probably be really hard to knock over an inukshuk, but since there's no people around we can presume his arm fell off on his own. That fallen arm was admitedly the hardest thing to draw here, and I don't think I have it down just yet. Perhaps a redo in the future is needed? Here's a question I have for you people reading the thread. I have two ideas with slightly similar concepts that I want to draw. One is with a punching bag, the other is a parody of the game Splatoon. Both are puke jokes (haha, grow up!). Which one do you want to see me do first? As a man I don't get the reference, what is this stop and ask for directions thing you speak of? For your question my vote is Splatoon!!! Fun to say and fun to play.

Is that a condom sticker?? The lemon? Or the bent nail? Both filthy and disgusting like trash kids!! Bent nail I guess? The round end threw me off , or I just have a dirty mind. Although a used condom would fit in with trash.

This one was inspired by an event that happened on here a bit ago, so I hope you like it. I don't like glitter, it's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Wait a minute, that's sand. At least with glitter you can vacuum it easily. Despite seeming like a party in a can, I don't think getting glitter bombed would be very fun. This guy certainly doesn't seem to enjoy it. I guess it prooves that a Garbage Pail Kid doesn't necessarily have to be disgusting to be a nuisance, although I guess having the name "Gary Glitter" is kind of disgusting. On the artistic side, I'm not super good at drawing "realistic" people, so pardon that if you may. I've been putting off on getting those pencils for a bit, but I'll probably end up looking into it this week. Not to say that materials = skill, but they'd certainly make my art look better. HAHA!!! Love the quote about sand, classic! I wonder if thats how Jimbo saw the glitter cloud as it exploded, as a sparkly GPK. Sweet tie by the way Don't worry about the pencils, it will take some time to get used to the feel of them compared to what you are used to. Your art probably won't be as good as it is now for a time till you get comfortable with your new tools.

Fitting way to go out, too bad they didn't make it that far. Whoa pics pleaz Besides the fact I'm a terrible photographer they are really hard to take pics of. The blue line sheets are pretty hard to see since the blue line print is very faint, its for the artist to paint over then they print the final from that. He said it never got that far. Size of the sheet art is about 50% bigger than the cards, give or take. Definitely a framing conundrum. I can throw something up later to give an idea what I'm talking about.

I'm even more excited about this than when I first posted. Not to beat up the Apple Pie set anymore but it says something when each and every original concept by multiple artists (that I've seen) has been leaps and bounds better than what topps corporation has told them to re do. Let me know when the kickstarter kickstarts I'll be on it like white on rice on a paper plate in a snow storm.

Staedtler Mars has some decent stuff for cheap. You can get the pencils, sharpener and led all from them. Any brand eraser will do as long as its kneaded rubber. Its the same material along any brand so that doesn't really matter. It comes in a grey bock and is almost like play dough. No streaking or smudging. You can pick up a pencil, sharpener, some led and an eraser about 30 bucks. The mechanical pencils take some getting used to but well worth the learning curve IMO. Looking forward to seeing more art! Thank you for the tips! I'll probably pick those up sometime soon since I've been thinking of trying to work on my art anyway. Tonight I have another new GPK, one with an idea I don't believe has been done before, although I might be wrong. (repeating a concept is my biggest worry with these >_> ) Here we have an iron maiden GPK, and it looks like it's already got a victim inside. People are still up to debate on whether iron maidens were actually used for torture, but we're assuming here that they were. Thats a great concept! And I like how you practice what you preach since its a full on CPK face

Like the names, very creative! Suggest that you invest in some quality art supplies. Clean paper, some real artist pencils and gum erasers. Keep up the good work!! Yeah, I figured that would be one of the main criticisms. I do have a sketchbook I never used so I'll probably end up using that in the future since I've got more concepts I want to get on paper. Do you have any recommendations for pencil and eraser brands? Staedtler Mars has some decent stuff for cheap. You can get the pencils, sharpener and led all from them.
