It's exciting to get new GPK merch, but I checked out their shop, and their prices suck! $60-75 for a vinyl figure! Mass produced vinyl is cheap. Limited, small company made vinyl is not cheap. 60-70 is on the low to mid priced vinyl.

Rare Findz increased the price so no one would buy it after I paid, but I'm not sure why he didn't just take down the listing. As for Probstein, I've offered him some very low offers, and he countered much lower than the listing price, but still pretty high. Well, with 29 watchers on that, it might be worth it for him to wait and see if some whacko thinks paying $15,000 was a good deal!? People who end listings early can still be charged the fees as if they sold it. It happened to a friend of mine. None of his listings sold on ebay and he was ending them at a high rate, ebay pinched him for fees a couple times. He does the same thing as rarefindz, make a price that will never sell and let the list end naturally.

I collect Ron English and Squadt vinyl fig.
Really gpk is my first love but they've been placed on the back burner. I get a few things that are New Wave or Dizzy Dave or buy the current base sets. It's been a while since I was fully on board with gpk.

I'd ban him if I were you. He has crazy ideas that don't match yours. He must go. Yeah, I've noticed that you don't dare say anything good about today's GPK or you'll face the wrath of "Stuck 'n Time". Most of the arguments we have here are just differences in opinion. It can be heated and some people won't ever get along but it's a place that you can express your opinion and not fear being tossed out for it. Roll with the punches, I've taken a few, haha. I've given a few. It's just a hobby and for the most part people here are cool to chat with. Remember opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone has one and some of us are one. haha.

The only people buying the new releases are re sellers and completists I doubt anyone is buying because they genuinely like the concepts or art. I can't imagine that more than 50% of the presidential online sales are actual collectors. My guess is the majority of buyers are buying them in the hopes that they will be in demand later and worth money. The problem with their poor investment decision is that even the die hards are up in arms with just how bad the presidential trash artwork and concepts are. The cost of the cards from Topps will most likely prove to be the factor that makes them a losing investment. They aren't worth 10 bucks each, or 5 bucks each or 3 bucks each. If someone really likes them and is buying them for that reason, let them have fun. As for buying in hopes that they are worth something, good luck with that. Sheer numbers of cards released will prove that to be a terrible idea. The market is flooded with these everyday, rushed, poor concepts.

Anything but this new crap being released. Topps screwed GPK up and they don't have any intentions on fixing it. It amazes me because even though they send their market anal-ysts out to do research on what collectors want, they still get it wrong. They should hire real GPK collectors to do market research, not these dingbats with no clue as to what GPK is really about for many collectors. Topps is their own worst enemy. Collectors are tired of hearing "You should be happy they still make GPKs". "You guys are never happy with anything but OS". "The new stuff isn't all that bad, you just want to complain". bulls**t. The new stuff sucks and people have every right to complain. And they will continue to complain as long as Topps put out non-GPK looking GPKs that aren't interesting and have horrendous art/concepts. Topps wouldn't put it out if no one was buying it. Â In the meantime, you and others like you, attack anyone with anything positive to say about the new releases, which is how you've tricked yourself into believing that no one likes it. Â It's okay to be stuck in a vintage GPK world, but to attack others and what they like by trying to twist their arms into submission with your own views is not okay. Â GPK is selling; that's a fact. Â People are buying new stuff, and liking it. Â There are trade threads on this site for ANS, BNS, FBS, CS, YS, TS, etc. Â People are interested. Â Each time someone says something positive about a new release on this site, there is someone like you right there to "correct" their views with attacks. Â Some have even suggested banning member with positive views about new GPK as trolls. Â It's okay to complain about how Topps in "destroying" GPK in your own threads, but not to attack people who are expressing interest in it. Â Â I'm sure banning was a joke for those who defend the new stuff. I've been around long enough to know that it takes an act that everyone would find to be theft or dishonesty or general douchebagery to get banned. This place allows people to have an opinion on the current and past state of gpk without fear of being kicked out.

Think back to the age you were when you first started collecting GPK 30-32 years ago between 1985-1987. Back then, looking back 30-32 years was like looking back to sometime between 1953-1957. What non-sports card sets from that era (1950's) still held the popularity that GPK sets still hold today? Probably none I bet. There were definitely plenty of non-sports card sets produced in the 1950's (look at the Tradingcard Database website). But what happened to them? I'm sure people eventually forgot about them without any new reminders. I'm sure they're not continuing to climb in value. Their small niche of collectors are probably looking to sell them now at their advanced age without anyone who appreciates them enough to pay anything worthwhile (sportscards don't have that problem).
8-10 year old kids today aren't the ones buying those fancy online cards for $50-$100, which isn't the only new product available. No, these kids are in the Dollar Stores looking at all the different boxes of cards, and trying to decide what kind of new packs to buy. It'll influence what they look back on with sentimental value in the future, and will determine whether they want to buy our GPK sets from us later on or not. Would you tell these kids to buy a pack of something else because GPK now sucks? Wouldn't you rather they chose GPK, instead of Pokeman, or whatever other new fad there is out there? Is your finger so far up your nose that you don't even care if the GPK legacy lives on past the 1980's?
Maybe you just want to quote a single sentence out of this long paragraph and take it out of context like the last guy who said I was talking about 2-YEAR OLDS BUYING $100 POLITICAL CARDS ONLINE AND BLOGGING ABOUT THEM ON FACEBOOK LIKE SOME SNOWFLAKES. Are you kidding me? Those must be some smart kids.
I support OS1, OS2, and Adam-Geddon, etc. Have you seen Outerspace Chase, Squoze Rose, Beth Death, Dry Guy, Mad Mike, Virus Iris, Cracked Jack, Charred Chad, Graffiti Petey, Rob Slob, Alice Island, and Adam Bomb lately? They're all in the latest GPK set, with many more character updates from the original cast. This is only going to bring kids back to the Original Series eventually, and give us all someone to sell are cards to in the future. Most popular 50's Non-Sports sets based of the PSA set registry: 1959 Fleer Three Stooges has 92 sets registered. 1956 Topps US presidents has 53 sets. 1952 Topps Look N See has 52 sets. 1951 Bowman Red Menace has 43 sets. 1956 Topps Elvis Presley has 40 sets. 30yrs ago I didn't even know those sets existed but somehow today, at least in the case of the Stooges, they are still popular. I know the 50's had some killer baseball sets but non-sport was much stronger in the 60's and i'm sure at least few of those are still kicking without having or needing to have current cards on the shelves. I can think of a couple :-) Right now kids are into cards that are related to a game of some sort. Pokemon and MTG being the 2 big ones. And the art in the case of MTG is head and shoulders above the stuff being spewed upon the GPK community right now. Cards will be around. Will GPK change with the times or fade away? People hated ANS too and some eventually came around to it. BNS had it's detractors and some came around to that group. I won't say that everything being pushed as GPK is terrible but some is pretty good. New Wave Dave in the new set is pretty dope. And Funko killed it on the minis, IMO.

OS art was rushed. Look at it. You can see all the little brush strokes. I much prefer the polished look of the new art and really like the digital art the best. And the online. everyday sets? Keep them coming! Topps with a moment of brilliance cashing in and the art is superb with awesome gags to match. Can we ban this guy, haha! I'd ban him if I were you. He has crazy ideas that don't match yours. He must go.

I got one. I'm not a fan of Zelda tho. I haven't really played it much to be honest. I did order Issac, maybe that will be more to my liking. But in reality I'm just counting the days till Mario Kart! Get Blaster Master Zero. Only $10 on the eshop Oohhh! An 8bit game! It looks awesome! I'll have to grab it. Anyone getting tetris? I don't understand the puyo puyo part but I'll probably grab it up.

Make sure the 9, 6, and 4 card holders have screws in the center as well as the corners. The cards can slip without the screws in the center. Ultra Pro is the best brand I've used. BCW doesn't have the center screws.
