That’s a cool error. Couldn’t red cause a browning as well? It could be red, but I am pretty sure red would make the marbling more gray or black, rather than this brown. Damn, my 10,000th Post on UG!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING Cory, this site has brought me so much joy over the years. I just hope my presence here has helped more than it hurt UG's success. SO many cool people have passed through these halls over the years, GPK has the best fan base of any hobby! 10k posts. Damn, you’re hardcore my friend. GPKUG wouldn’t have been the same without you all of these years.

Got any Cheap Toys with apparent factory errors? Post your Cheap Toy oddities HERE! First up: Legendary CAMOUFLAGE Green Alice Island, I bought this toy in 2008 sight-unseen from a Canadian collector who had some Series 2's and was surprised when I opened the box to find this! Its a Pea Green with BROWN Marbling! This is the best Factory Error I have personally discovered in 12 years of collecting Cheap Toys. Plus, seeing actual brown coloring in a Cheap Toy is unheard of. The only color in the Cheap Toy canon that could mix with Pea Green to make that brown is Orange, yet Orange was not released with the Canadian Cheap Toy line, only Green, Blue, Red, Peach, and Aqua. These were produced in Hong Kong, not Canada, but still a real mystery. Here she is! That’s a cool error. Couldn’t red cause a browning as well?

Good thing they put a card in the pack. It’ll at least get the facebookers to buy it.

Damn, OS1 artwork is barely worth that much. I guess this seller just wants to show this off on ebay and isn’t serious about selling.

You're basically where I'm at. I don't collect any new stuff for two reasons 1) I don't like it and 2) I don't have the space. And now both y’all are where I’ve been for like 10 years. I've been there for 8 years.

Well that is completely different. All joking aside, I have slowed down on the GPK collecting front. I have two OS pencil/rough/final combos, a complete OS1-9 card set in great condition, and a few other items that I treasure. I don't collect the new stuff, and there isn't much I don't have that appeals to me. I am still interested in OS card-front proofs (especially acetates), but their availability, particularly at reasonable prices, is few and far between. I've actually put GPK collecting on the back-burner and moved on to mini-figures (non-GPK). I'll still be here on the UG, but unless some grail piece of art becomes available, I don't see myself obtaining many (any?) more GPK collectibles. I think that well has just about run dry. You're basically where I'm at. I don't collect any new stuff for two reasons 1) I don't like it and 2) I don't have the space.

Wow - just another reason to be skeptical when paying big $$$ for PSAs. I thought I remember seeing PSA label some cards as "trimmed" or "miscut" without putting them in a slab? It doesn't give you a good feeling when collectors are checking this, and not the graders. Here's a PSA for you all - sell your PSAs. Card collecting is stupid anyway. Just a bunch of worthless cardboard. You are all fools. I collect pogs now! I don't collect cards. I collect stickers.

People love the ease of facebook and the posts that last 24 hours and never seen again. This was a great thread. Are you saying Tommy is currently active on the FB groups? Because he told me before he left that he didn't have FB. Has he turned to the dark side? I’d be surprised if he wasn’t. Even people that aren’t on FB are on FB under an alias. I don’t spend a whole lot of time on FB so I don’t know for sure though.

Nice pick ups. Love the Alien Alan, Bad Art and Carnage pieces. Strange that Pound didn’t list one of the best OS7 pieces on his site. Thanks cory. I asked pound for that piece a year ago but back then he didn’t want to sell it because he wanted to keep it for his private collection. I tried again this year when i saw he was selling some other art he was holding back before and i got lucky. Paid a bit more for it but it was worth it. That’s awesome to know that he was holding it back because he liked it a ton. It’s cool to have art that has special value to Pound himself.

That's what I was hoping.... But if they are sdcc exclusive I ain't sure many people will be able to afford the crazy prices they will fetch on ebay try me, Super 7... The bop bags and pins are cool. Creepy Co is pretty high quality. Super 7 needs to do toys and items. Monster cards aren’t getting it done.

Holy s**t, that's hilarious. All those people that paid $400 for a box of those cards on eBay, and now just a week later you can get a box for less than half that price. I would be asking for a refund if I were them! You could save 100% of your money if you just didn’t buy this junk. That’s my approach.

It's been relisted at $39k and change. When it doesn't sell the first time around, double the price. I will never understand sellers listing things ridiculously high, then listing them higher when they don't sell. It’s the jewelry pricing mentality. Mark it up 100% and eventually give a 90% discount.

That's a very nice set, but as I've said in other threads, I just don't see the value in PSA 10s. I have a very nice PSA 9 set (okay, still missing ONE...4a if anyone has it?), but that is a fraction of the cost. Can you really tell the difference between a 9 and a 10, looking through a slab of plastic? Even if you "value" the 10s at $250 each for the commons and then $2,000 for the primes, that's only $32,000. So if you're into GEMs, maybe $40K...maybe... But just like Seymourbarf said, I'll take the original art instead. I'm content with my ungraded OS1 set, that I never pull out and look at.

That was the old garbagepailkids.com website. They had the small animations when you went down the street with different characters. I think that was related to the code insert cards?? Did anyone ever save those animations? I thought I tried but couldn't figure out how. Would still like to try maybe using the wayback machine. I think that website was made for ANS1 and stuck around for a few years. Here is an archive of that old website. I completely forgot a second town was created for ANS2. web.archive.org/web/20051018023910/http://www.garbagepailkids.com/downtown.htmlThanks to Nico for posting this up on facebook. I thought this was gone forever.

So a toy company is releasing a GPK card set? That’s incredibly disappointing... I agree. So much could have been done but nothing interesting was.

I wish I knew how to add pictures from my phone and wow this post is 11 years old but I’m curious to know if a actual estimated number of FP have ever been determined? I have two and wanted to post a pic, maybe I’ll get my PC fixed and get back on this thread. I don't think there has ever been a number set on the first print B2s. It seems to be in the single digits. How did you get 2 first print B2s? Did you do the mail back thing thing?

Yeah, definitely GPK's highest point! I think the world will look back in five to ten years and realize what a bizarre thing it was to have made a GPK set of that person. Some of the artists who did that set seemed to have some weird, creepy, obsession with him. During the presidential race, most of the gags were on Trump. Just creepy, obsessive, over-the-top behavior by some of those artists. It’s a hive mind mentality. People are weird like that
