Let him have his day in court before you write him off. False accusation s**t happens all of the time. I hate that s**t like this is reported on. His name is being dragged through the mud for possibly no reason. Dumbfucks on facebook immediately called him guilty and they only heard one side of the story. You're a moron if that's how you operate.

Well, it sold in less than a day: I’m not sure it sold for the full $15k, but that didn’t take long! Cory , how much did you pay him for it? Never been a fan of the piece, but congrats to the buyer. I know a lot of people like it. I wonder what it sold for. We need a PSA on this

This was an unexpectedly heavy box. My rectum almost fell out when I was lugging this up the stairs. Now it’s time to get to work! I remember doing this for all of my cards. Took forever, but it was worth it. Don't forget the penny sleeves.

Haha, I was just about to say this guy is smoking crack. It's worth $3kish maybe. I like that he wants $12,000...plus $10 for shipping. Gotta get that ten extra bucks! For $12k, I expect it hand delivered.

the poster art and giant series 2 pieces tended to be larger in size. Miss gpk was about 11x13 and beauty is only skin deep is also a larger piece. cool art for sale, but for 12k i want the crack rocks the seller is smoking. Haha, I was just about to say this guy is smoking crack. It's worth $3kish maybe.

But aren’t basically all the new releases spin-offs of GPK? When was the last time the kids in a set looked like CPKs? I don’t buy the new stuff, and I’ve given up hope of them looking like CPKs ever again. They might as well call this new food set “Garbage Pail Kids”, it’s not lowering the brand at this point. They are supposed to look like CPK now. Brent gets the closest to that look. Topps doesn't seem to care to keep it consistent. Why should they? People buy them no matter what they look like.

Hi, Short introduction. I'm Richard, 43 years old and living in The Netherlands. Been in different Facebook groups for years now, but never registered over here.. As a kid, I collected GPK. There was 1 little store that sold them though, they were not (and like now over there in the US) never a big thing that you could walk in to a store and get some boxes or packs.. I collect mostly just base sets, not really in to the special cards (like gold borders or like that). For now, I'll browse the board and gain more info Welcome.

I know I’ll get dinged for posting in a old dead thread but this makes it a little easier to get this out to all. I appreciate the interest in my OS16 proofs it’s great to see people who wish it would’ve existed but I haven’t sold any item in my collection and do not plan to sell anything. If it ever comes up I have your messages because I’m horrible at archiving my inbox. I still have messages in there from 10 years ago. I have moved the thread back to the land of the living. If you decide to post on it again, you don't need to go to the graveyard.

The profits from flipping these digital GPK on eBay for real money for the past 2 days has funded my physical GPK hobby X10. Has anyone had any luck selling or trading the free one's from Google Drive? Seems being authentic and vetted has its benefits for real collectors. The 3 things this year I'm most excited for are September 23 - 35th Series 2, October 25th - Chrome OS3, and the next digital GPK release because you can be both a real GPK fan and a digital one (to finance your real hobby). *Special note to you* I'm also a real fan, an actual GPK fan/collector and then you get non-fans posting their eBay links for cash because they just understand blockchain, some actual real questions get asked about how this digital GPK works and the administrators and moderators don't see the BS and seem to suppress those interested in what this thread was built around. It's not a dividing line of us vs them, you can have both like I do. I do smell what the underground is cooking, but I don't smell a Digital GPK Underground Forum with the one's steering this ship. To be fair, most of us don't buy the physical stuff that Topps offers now either.

Ah it’s good to have you back buddy! Guess that’s changing as digital natives come on the scene. Millennials all grew up with computers so I can only see this sort Of thing getting bigger, especially when the digital item entitles you to something in a game or the real world.. E.g if you hold this card get access to the members only area etc. Haha, Digital Natives don't give a s**t about GPK. The people most interested in these digital cards are the people trying to profit off of them. I could see Digital Natives getting involved in something like this. It won't be this though.

Well it looks like It’s been decided. It’s over guys let’s grab all are shiz and burn it Disco Demolition style! Physical is dead! Long live digital! Next GPKUG Con I expect semi trucks loaded with shiz to do this! No touching no instant callback when holding an OS card to the taste and smell of the gum. The smile you get from the memories of the hunt of rebuilding your collection as an adult showing your kids. Now Gordon Fuggin Gecko runs the hobby. The thing that brought me back was the look on my 3 year olds face when every time I showed him the proofs then the finals. I get it digital is here but when you think about what has gone digital Most if not all still deliver to the same senses they’ve always use too. Cards have always been sight and tactile you’ve now removed tactile and sight doesn’t translate to feel. Your selling fake nostalgia at this point. If someone wants the feel of pack ripping OS cards start hunting Chrome or Flashback if the price of the original sets are off putting. If people want rare there are plenty of rare items in our hobby that are actually rare not forced rarity to entice people to over purchase for a slight chance of getting something. I look at ebay right now and see digital cards at what could be fair pricing for some time. Then I see the people who I would put in the Holy Shi**er thread if I still did it. When I see a digital image of a 35 year old card selling for more than some of the art sitting on ebay right now from some incredible artists Like David, Mark, Robert and Layron honestly it makes me sick. People would rather buy air than something created from the blood sweat and tears of some of the finest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I hope for the sake of the people diving head first into this they get what they wanted out of it. But real money for crypto GPK seems off. What happens if either company implodes? You got NOTHING. In the world of physical if Topps goes away you still have SOMETHING. Like Steve said spend your money how you see fit and I know there are many of us who would rather have people do this then stay on our “lawn”. But it just reeks of all the other bubbles in the hobby industry that happened. Rex I’m sure your a great guy and your intentions are good trying to turn us senior citizens into hip cats but I have one question for you... DO YOU SSSSSSMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLL...What the Underground is cooking? Good s**t.

So you get a rare image that is 1 of 50. What can you do with it? Can you sell it or trade it? Is there a community of people that are trading doubles and stuff? Can you list it on ebay, sell it for real money and then just transfer it via blockchain? Yeah thats pretty much exactly how it works. The ledger shows all trades, transfers, etc. Here is an interesting thing. Topps shows all the 5 cards packs as sold out, yet they maintain over half of them. wax.bloks.io/tokens/GPKFIVE-wax-packs.topps?fbclid=IwAR0ISk0jYVhXYuA65xMLvo1ltBPqKd5NU71uaC3i9ivFjIfBwlS5tAYTXTwThat's cool. At least you can do something with them. It could be a decent money maker to start, but I feel interest will wane and these will be pretty much worthless. Right now FOMO is in full effect. I wonder if Topps is going to be strict and stay to a specific inventory. If they start adding, these things are toast.

Thanks Rahul! I think selling the Rick R. Treat final set something off within me. I had it on the market for months, intent on selling it the entire time, because I felt guilty about how much money I had spent overall on art. But as soon as it sold, I felt regret. And I think at that point I immediately stopped caring about the money - I stopped feeling guilty. So I decided to be aggressive and go out and get the art I wanted. And my god, was that a lot of art! It was important to me to have a final from each HK series. I was lucky that Mark still had an HK1 for sale. I was even more lucky that Game8 was willing to sell his HK2 piece. Mark sold all his HK2 finals, and only nine exist. So HK2 is the most difficult to obtain. I couldn’t have done this without Game8’s help, and I will be forever grateful to him. You are right about the Cheetara and Mario pieces. The green background on Cheetara is so vivid. I was not expecting that (even though I already had the color rough). She is not my favorite Thundercat, but that piece might be my favorite of the set. And the Mario piece is just straight-up awesome. Mario coming out of that pipe with a turd in his hand sealed the deal for me, ha ha! But I am not done. There will be more coming. I used to hem and haw about the cost, but I am beyond that now. I guess I am fully infected by the art collecting virus, ha ha! You joke about not being on Raoul's level, but I think you are going for the title. Extremely nice pick-ups. The comment is more relevant than ever.

I get it. I love the hobby of the physical GPK cards, it'll never die with me either. Digital images of course look the same, but collectors look for the things that make things unique, and the blockchain simply makes these digital images unique and curated moving forward...I still don't fully wrap my head around it either for what it's worth but it's a cheap thrill, small risk and fun! Having a GPK community or microcosm going on a tab on your computer is fun since most people are on their computers at work, or your phone. It's become more about trading cards instantly within these past few days. To sell out so quickly should also be noted! I love the "I'm too old for this hobby now" comment, because I felt the same way. So, I spent about $100 CND and it's been kick-ass. GPK is the first for this brand new optimistic platform, and you can't stop innovation. So why not throw down on some Series 1, I was thinking. Will I be buying online TOPPS Disney and Star Wars cards when they come on the Blockchain, nope! I save that money for the weekly GPK cards (the physical one's). So you get a rare image that is 1 of 50. What can you do with it? Can you sell it or trade it? Is there a community of people that are trading doubles and stuff? Can you list it on ebay, sell it for real money and then just transfer it via blockchain?

Fake Jake Final by John Pound, my personal favorite OS14 and one of my personal favorite GPKs of all time, back when there was a spot under your UG avatar that said “Favorite GPK” (pre-mobile version of proboards) I had these listed: “Potty Scotty, Orange Julius, Tommy Gun, Smelly Sally, Fake Jake” -ask anyone around back in the early days, can’t believe I own this! Thanks Jimbo for securing this and helping me acquire this, you are a true friend, love you brother! Holding a Pound is surreal, I’ve appreciated his work since, like 5th grade. Such grace and so good at reflected light and shadows and form, just a great colorist, being a painter and graphic artist myself I can follow his layering his mind set his mania has mark-making and it’s a trip. We all cherish his early OS work, but by OS 14 he was much tighter and he started adding more details, more story, and it even progressed into his ANS work which I also adore (see Orange Julius and Demonic Danielle). Again, thanks Jimbo! And thanks to Mike who had it previously, that makes 3 things now that you’ve sold me that I absolutely cherish: Galoob Prototype GPK Cartoon Alien Ian toy, Sam Castle ANS6 Final, and now Fake Jake OS14 Final! Congrats brother. This is a great piece. You need to up your photography game. I've seen you take countless pics that show off cheap toy colors. You post this art and it's like you sucked all of the color out of it.

I wonder what a top OS1 like that would bring at auction... 40k? OS1s are interesting. Everyone seems to want one, but when they come up the interest is weak. I get that not a lot of people can shell $20K+ (I wouldn't), but it seems that there aren't very many people at all in our hobby that could or would pay $40K. The high rollers in the hobby seem to be harder to find than an actual OS1.

Nobody knows where the final art pieces for Toxic High went. They were supposed to go back to the artists, but someone stole them shortly after the set was made. If you ever find one, report the seller!
Wow, Toxic High stolen, OS16 missing. There was a lot of intrigue at Topps in the 80s! Statue of limitations has had to pass by now. Just list those fuggin OS16 pieces already.
