There a lot of these that are obvious as soon as you see the GPK but seeing this thread there are a lot that I didn't realise how they were influenced, until you see the comparison with a photo of the original artwork

Holy crap those are similar!! Was Roy Bot based on that fig? Looks like a recent pic... or was it the other way around? Roy is the parody. He was designed off of this Robotech character or one very similar. Uncanny!
