Well, after 5 years of researching i will finally release my contact info guide. Some of the artists don't have their emails listed because they are easy to find.... i just didn't go find them and update my list. So for anyone who has the addresses to anyone who is listed but blank, let me know. I want to make this as complete as possible. Please point out any errors and give me additional names that may not be on this list. This was the complete list of artists BEFORE ANS7. And i think damn near all of them are on here. The only thing i ask for in return, is that if you are able to get ahold of some of these guys that i don't have a graph for, to just send in ONE card for ol sniglet to make my collection more complete! ENJOY GPKUG! 1. Aron Laikin – CELWorld@aol.com 2. David Gross – SalandRei@aol.com 3. Keith Webb – keith.webb@tt-oxford.com 4. Sean Greathead – sgreathead@earthlink.net ** 5. David Berg is the guy who did "The Lighter Side" feature for Mad Magazine. He never worked on GPKs, and he is indeed deceased.
David Burke is another artist....and as far as I know he lives on.

Javi Soler was staying at my house back in the '80s for a while...and he helped me on inking the Astrology backs of one of the old series. He is an artist and former pro soccer player who lives in Spain. Maybe Joan from Spain knows where he is today. Also, Gary Whitney helped me ink GPK backs in the '80s. He also worked with me on the comic strip we did called Phoebe & the Pigeon People many years ago.

...and Justin Green's email is justin.inknib@gmail.com .....so have him color your sketch cards and give him money so that he can afford to draw more comic book stuff. Comics pay badly...so hire him to color sketch cards, or he will continue making a living as a sign painter, and a national audience will be deprived of his comics work, which is pure genius.

Ok I'm pulling an old thread to the front for a newbie question... What's the purpose of the list, like will they autograph a card for you? And if so, this being so dated, is there an updated list? Thanks for entertaining a newb.

Thanks for entertaining a newb. It's extremely dated now, but on rare occasion the emails have helped me land some GPK art. The list serves as a list of artists affiliated, past and present, with GPK work. However, most have moved on but remain highly regarded artists. So, it's helped me get educated a bit more by leading me to previous GPK artists who continue to do great stuff, albeit vastly different from GPKs. Overall, I appreciated the list quite a bit and I hope it eventually gets updated.

Thank you for this information. However "Warhola is an asshole... period" is the farthest thing from the truth. I met James last month and we instantly hit it off. In fact we have traded several emails and he made me a sketch card. I'm not sure what interaction you had with him or why it was so unpleasant but I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

You're absolutely right, Warhola is a very good man. Very friendly and gives of his time. He's also very much in demand because his art is freakin' unreal. He's done some of the finest science fiction artwork that I've ever seen. What this means is that he doesn't necessarily get back to you very quickly and you have to send several emails sometimes before he'll respond. Also, this email is not correct, so it's likely that he'll never respond using this email.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought this might be the best place for this. Introducing the GPKNews Artist Directory! I'm been working on this for a while now. My goal was to show every artist that's done the artwork for card fronts, card backs, or sketch cards. I spent a ton of hours searching for websites, e-mail (I've only included publicly available e-mail address, if I have your address through other means I've kept it private), Facebook & FB Art Pages, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. There are a few lists out there, but none are as complete or updated as this one. My hope is this will help collectors find artists so they can not only contract out for commission pieces, but also purchase anything the artist might be selling. I would appreciate any feedback. Did I miss anyone? Any links I've left out? Any dead links? (I left Moffet's info in there, I'm hoping he comes back.) As always thanks for all the support the site as received, I hope you enjoy the new feature. gpknews.com/gpk-artist-directory/

Regarding some of the info, you've got a different David Burke here. This is the well-known Dave Burke of Monster Fetish, who would be much younger than the GPK Burke. Several people have reached out to this Dave Burke but he's not the right guy. Nobody knows the proper David Burke, not even the GPK creators themselves because he was basically a blip on the radar during some of the most chaotic and overwhelming years of GPK output. Also, I can give you more info on James Bennett since I've spoken with him relatively recently. He's only recently been located, which was late last year, thanks for Mark Newgarden's extra efforts. I've got more info on some of your other info gaps, so just send me a PM if you want to talk offline.

For those who don't know of Len Brown, he's pretty legendary in the "bubble gum card" industry. He co-created several legendary lines, like Mars Attacks and Wacky Packages, and obviously did tons for GPK and a host of other lines. The below link is the only online presence that I know of for Len Brown. He now hosts a country music radio show in Austin, Texas, which is his passion. It's awesome because he has a deep NYC accent but probably knows more about old country music than anyone. So, tune in to hear Len's NYC accent as he hosts country music radio in Texas, telling you all about country music history as he spins it. www.koop.org/programs/country-roots/blog/len-brown-host-country-roots
