These are all definitely fakes! The albums are even fake. After comparing them to my ablum, they are definitely a reprint. If you look at the inside pages, they are light brown in color. The real album, the pages have a pinkish shade to them. Also, on the back of his, the Garbage Pail Kids logo is too far to the left and the font on the black text is smaller. Think we should inform the seller about all his albums and cards are fake or maybe reporting the listing to ebay about being counterfeit? I just cant stand people to trying to scam people. What do you guys think? Pretty sure the seller knows they're fake lol. But yeah, someone should prob do something ... any ideas? |

The real stuff might suffer in price now because of this. Looks like the dealer we've been talking about has removed all his listings (or had them forceably removed). If anyone sees them pop up again, update this thread with that info. |

Nope, he still has listings up.
Another member here bought one from him and he sent me a ton of pictures of it and I compared it to mine. It is clearly fake. I sent him a ton of pictures of my real one and he is going to file a complaint with eBay about it. Hopefully they shut him down fast and also make him give everybody's money back.
I don't think its going to hurt the value of the real one because it still doesn't change the fact that the real ones are so rare.

i was bidding , for one album just for fun
some of the banners of the cards are just ffugged up.i knew it was fake
but it sold for 45€ , i think its to high
i think its sad that anyone fakes to rip off others
this guy needs to be stopped!! ASAP

Ebay gave me a refund on this item and said to keep the album after I raised the case to them.
They didn't say anything else about the matter annoyingly so I'm not sure if he got punished.
I'm quite glad I have one now to help spot the difference and help others in the quest for protection!

ebay rarely does anything about crooked sellers. They can't keep up. There's too many of them. Luckily the fees are getting so high that most dealers are quitting so in the end, only regular people will be left on ebay again, like it was in the old days. The dealers will go to storeenvy and set up their own stores.
i'm steering clear of all the south american gpk's at this point. recently bought one of those basuritas uncut sheets and it looks fake as hell. noting on the back either. stick with the sgorbions/les crados/kaputten kids guys, those were at least official. The basuritas are only good if they're truly stickers. Then they at least have a purpose and look somewhat legit. These thin paper cards, if you can call them that, are worthless. 99 cents is all that album is worth really...

Gpkcollector,there are fake basuritas sheets too,so probably you bought one of them.if I am right I read something also on the Wayne's site years ago.

The guy with the fake Peruvian albums did not listed on eBay USA, he listed on eBay UK so it seems he got banned in one site, I guess if more people claim maybe he will get banned also there.

I got ripped off from guys in the first world countries (USA & Italy) so the problem is not WHERE you live is more HOW you live!. |

true but i think kalas was referring to the lack of restrictions in countries like that. Not much rule and order there, not as much as more developed nations at least. But this is ebay's responsibility, they don't seem to be following up on reports. I cannot believe that noone has reported him on the usa site. They're simply not doing their homework on this.
