Let’s Talk! GPK grail pieces!
So you’re reading this going Oh great another Adam Bomb blowfest! Wrong! I want to know what GPK item that you own you liked but after a while you started considering it a grail piece in your collection! Let’s not even think about a piece that you bought that was immediately a grail piece for you when you bought it. This is strictly for the ones that were pieces you liked and bought or trade for that really grew on you! I myself have noticed it with art that I’ve been buying that I bought because I liked it but now if the house on fire my kid better be running cause my arms will be full! Here are a couple pieces I bought that have become grail pieces for me:
Atomic Reggie Final Art by Mark Pingitore
I really liked this and was proud that it was one of my first finals after having it for sometime I can’t imagine not having it. It’s a grail piece for me now never leaving my collection and when I look at I hate I didn’t get it sooner
Psycho Patrick Final Art by David Gross
This is one of my newest from David I bought this because I love the movie and David did an incredible job painting this. I was looking at it today and I was just in awe of it. I can’t believe I was lucky enough to get it. Grail Piece!
Splat Matt Final Art by Mark Pingitore
I bought this loves the gag liked the movie Mark killed it like he does. Since I’ve had it I giggle at it every time I look at it and my son loves it. I always liked it but it’s gone to that grail level.
Cultish Carl Final Art by David Gross
Another of my new finals by David loved the concept loved the Kool Aid gag makes my think about Jonestown. David like Mark always kills it. I’ll be honest I don’t buy cards anymore really I get some for my son when we see them so I don’t get all geeked when the cards come out and go I have to hunt x down and get it. This one I wish I would’ve got the card I love it so much now it’s the perfect level of zaniness for the subject the detail that’s in the final is amazing. Grail piece!
Emmet-80 Final Art by Robert Jimenez
I really dug this final when I got it. It was my first piece from Robert and I was looking for some less expensive finals at the time do to the expenses of having at the time a 1 year old. Since I’ve owned it it’s really grown on me then once I got it framed it blew my mind Robert did a great job and I happily have it on my wall. Grail piece!
Now don’t get me wrong I have many items I consider grail pieces in my collection but they were bought as a grail piece from the start. Nobody would buy the Messy Mario Final Art and not consider it a grail piece while purchasing it! GPK+Mario! Come on! These are a few that I bought that became something more to me than I expected.

What are yours? Great post! I liked reading it and finding out which Ping pieces you have, ha ha! I look at the finals on Mark’s site and always wonder where the sold ones went off to. It’s nice to know now that Atomic Reggie and Splat Matt are in the UG family! As for my pieces, pretty much all of them were grails to me before I bought them. That was the reason I bought them! But there is at least one piece that meets your criteria: Mark’s Thing Juan / Thing Stu final. Thing Juan was the first piece of Mark’s that I ever bought. Back then, I wasn’t looking to amass an HK collection. I was just a big fan of The Thing, and Thing Juan looked like a GPK/CPK (unlike virtually all of the newer, official GPKs). But buying that piece sent me down the amazing path I am now on - it opened my eyes to Mark’s talent and execution, and inspired me to focus on collecting his art. Thing Juan became a grail for that reason. |

This may seem funny but it is not a joke. I came across 10 or so packs of OS9 which were the right variation to possibly contain a No # Semi Colin. So I figured why not rip them open. So I did. And the first card in the first pack was this one.  I loved it so much I contacted like 5 or 6 grading companies to see if any would encapsulate it with the gum. None of the big boys would do it but I finally found a place that would. It's prob not worth much but I absolutely love it and to me it is a grail piece.  |

The odds of you finding it in one of only ten packs are slim. But for it to be the very first card? And the uniqueness of the gum being stuck to it? The sentimentality level of this card is through the roof! |

Not even a bad guy, just misunderstood, if you ask me. And WATN Jack O Lantern is a great GPK. I like him more than OS Jack O Lantern! |

I have a few:
OS13 Hidden Heidi final art
I always liked the card, but when I saw the art I knew I must have it for my OS13 slot. I have grown to really love the piece and I consider it as one of my best pieces
Magenta Crater Chris Cheap Toy
I love this sculpt. The rarity is insane, but the color is amazing. They were really dumb for cutting the magenta color from the line-up. It's not too bright and not too dull. It's perfect.
