I remember seeing a post a while back on here about some jackoff who commissioned an artist(s) to do some GPK sketches and then used those sketches to create his own card set. He then sold the set to GPK collectors without giving notice to the artist(s) what his intentions were. Does anyone know who that was?

His original post was deleted, but it is quoted here in my response to him: garbagepailkids.proboards.com/post/246600David Gross said the guy’s real name is Jason Hanks, and David gave an eye-opening rundown on the type of person Jason is: garbagepailkids.proboards.com/post/246622We never heard more from Jason after that!

Actually, now that I think about it, there might have been yet another guy. I seem to recall someone duping GPK artists (or sketch card artists) into producing art for him, which he then used to make a bootleg set. He even showed some photos of the cards here on the UG. This kind of thing happens a lot.

Just trying to find the name of that person.

Just got a PM about it, it was Greg Grant and Matt Stock who stole paintings and duped artists into making a set. These two clowns profited on the sales without giving royalties to the artists.

I searched a bunch of terms and couldn’t find them either. Stuff like that shouldn’t be deleted. Does deleting or suspending a member delete their posts automatically?

We try to keep all posts like that to reference back to.
