I am having an issue with Andrew Lavin eBay ID soflasportsnut on (2) GPK 1st Series PSA 10s. He bought 2 cards in a package deal and decided (1) PSA 10 does not meet his expectations (not sure why but unimportant). Unlike most people that would return a purchase for a full refund, he decides to file a PayPal not as described item claim instead. Check out this gem:
''I am at an impasse with the seller so I am asking Paypal to step in. On 1/20, I purchased from the seller "OS1 #10a glossy PSA 10 & #41a matte PSA 10 dlvd Priority insured w/ Signature Confirmation." Specifically, the OS1 #10a glossy PSA 10 refers to Original Series 1 Garbage Pail Kids card "TEE-VEE STEVIE" graded/encapsulated in a "PSA 10 holder/slab" with the serial #23649408, while the latter refers to Original Series 1 Garbage Pail Kids card "MEAN GENE" with a similar "PSA 10" encapsulation/designation with serial #23733315. This shipment arrived at my home on 1/23. Upon inspection of the items, I reached out to the seller via e-mail and requested a return on the TEE-VEE STEVIE card. I conveyed in the email that I was satisfied with the MEAN GENE card and not at all desiring to return that. The seller replied back three and a half hours later stating to "send both cards back" and that keeping only Mean Gene was "not an option." Not being satisfied with that resolution or a conditional return, and in an effort to reach an amicable outcome, I asked the seller in my reply if we could work something out where I could keep the MEAN GENE card. He replied back a half hour later and said "No thanks" and reiterated to send both cards back. So the seller is steadfast that I return both cards despite my indications that I didn't want to return both cards. That's like one of us buying two pairs of shoes, two shirts, two pieces of furniture, etc., being fully satisfied with one of the two, yet asked by the merchant to return both. Is that fair or just? Obviously not seeking a full refund nor desiring one. Just a refund on the TEE-VEE STEVIE plus Paypal fees.
The buyer negotiated the entire time for a no fees payment price and then sent this message, instead of the expected PP $, psh!
''Cool sounds good!
I only have my CC linked to my Paypal so I'd need to send under G&S to avoid getting dinged with a cash advance fee, but I have zero problem leaving the subject and notes blank.?? This is also the first time we've done business through this medium and I always prefer to build the trust level up.?? I'd also include all fees so it arrives as $850 on your end.?? If you're good with all that, just say the word and I'll remit pymt.
I should have killed the deal after the above message...bummer.
Buyer still not taking no for an answer, claiming a PSA 10 not as described and demanding to keep 1 (the much more expensive card) for under 1/2
Buyer just responded via PayPal with this message and escalated the not as described claim, ''Seeing as though we are still at an impasse, I will let Paypal break the tie.''
