Color Rough - Cheesy Charlie / Pizza Face Chase - Artist John Pound Well looky what we got here - the color rough for Cheesy Charlie! My latest acquisition. I said I was done for a while. I thought I was done for a while. But I couldn't say no to this one. I am in love with it. Maybe romantically!

Horrorible Kids - Rick R. Treat / Sam Haim - Artist Mark Pingitore Final Art It is with sadness that I must inform you that this piece is no longer part of my collection. I like this piece very much (look at how that orange pops!), but I needed the money to afford other art. Alas. stoked to hear you managed to sell the art and open you up for pizza face. wish i had been able to pick him up

Alas. stoked to hear you managed to sell the art and open you up for pizza face. wish i had been able to pick him up It's bittersweet. Rick R. Treat was a really cool piece. But the sale was necessary. As for Charlie, when I saw it listed I knew I had to act fast!

Thanks Rahul. I hope one day I will have what is considered a respectable OS collection. I have two pencil-rough-final "progressions" (Opie and Jill) and now the Charlie rough. Maybe I'm already at respectable? But I'm not done. I don't have a ton of money, so I have to be patient and selective. But my collection will continue to grow, assuming my voodoo rituals keep working and the art I want keeps appearing for sale!

You gave me the idea to ask Pound if he still had the pencil art and color rough. But I am lucky to have two progressions. Most of the art was sold years ago and have been scattered to the four winds. I wonder how many united three-piece sets are out there.

It's been a while since I posted some art, so I thought I'd give you guys a taste. Not sure why a couple of them are sideways - I tried a few times to get them to post correctly, but whatever.

Eureka! I finally got those photos oriented correctly. Photos are such a hassle. We should post only dazzling, written descriptions of our collections.

I think selling the Rick R. Treat final set something off within me. I had it on the market for months, intent on selling it the entire time, because I felt guilty about how much money I had spent overall on art. But as soon as it sold, I felt regret. And I think at that point I immediately stopped caring about the money - I stopped feeling guilty. So I decided to be aggressive and go out and get the art I wanted. And my god, was that a lot of art! It was important to me to have a final from each HK series. I was lucky that Mark still had an HK1 for sale. I was even more lucky that Game8 was willing to sell his HK2 piece. Mark sold all his HK2 finals, and only nine exist. So HK2 is the most difficult to obtain. I couldn’t have done this without Game8’s help, and I will be forever grateful to him. You are right about the Cheetara and Mario pieces. The green background on Cheetara is so vivid. I was not expecting that (even though I already had the color rough). She is not my favorite Thundercat, but that piece might be my favorite of the set. And the Mario piece is just straight-up awesome. Mario coming out of that pipe with a turd in his hand sealed the deal for me, ha ha! But I am not done. There will be more coming. I used to hem and haw about the cost, but I am beyond that now. I guess I am fully infected by the art collecting virus, ha ha!

He’s also been very generous and kind to me on my art collecting journey. I am in his debt.
