Awesome collection  love those proofs. are you going to frame all the opie art together? Thanks Game8! I know everyone is art crazy (including myself), but I love the proofs as well. Especially the acetate ones. I am planning to frame the Opie progression together. I am still deciding on matting color though. I could go with red to match the banner color from the card, or I could go with orange as a complementary color to the overall blue of the artwork. Thinking just black for the frame. |

Yeah same go’s for me. But i mostly collect 4 color mask negatives. But i have some other type’s of proofs as well. loving those ping roughs as well. I’m guessing your a big thunder cats fan  Your plans for opie sound pretty good. Cant wait to see the end result. |

So I wanted to have the full set of Mark's roughs. Thundercats was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid, followed by He-Man, GI Joe and Looney Tunes. |

GPK OS9 #376 - Retchin' Gretchen / Ill Jill - Artist John Pound Pencil Art Color Rough Final Art I am extremely pleased to announce the latest members of my collection - the pencil art and color rough for 376 Retchin' Gretchen/Ill Jill! These now join the final art I already owned, and give me my second pencil/rough/final combo (after Soapy Opie). A big thanks to fowlraoul for giving me the idea to contact John Pound! In case anyone was wondering, this is what this was all about: garbagepailkids.proboards.com/post/249985/threadI'm not sure where I am going to go from here. I own two amazing pencil/rough/final combos, and at this point, unless something unexpected comes along, I will be focused on getting them framed. I'm not quitting the art collecting game, but for now I think I want to step back and admire what I have! |

Thanks Rahul. I have built quite a business relationship with Mr. Pound these past several months, ha ha! He still has art I would love to own, but my big spending days are over unless a grail shows up. Peach's framing is amazing. I couldn't imagine undoing it if it were just the final that I owned. But I think I want to frame the three pieces together. I will be framing the three Opie pieces together, and want to do the same with Jill for symmetry. Now that I'm thinking about framing, it feels overwhelming! But I have to get it done. These pieces need to be on display, so when my friends and family come over I can show them the art and they can think I'm insane. |
