Hi guys,
I am interested in digitally designing/illustrating a gig poster for my band in Photoshop, in the style of a GPK card. Similar to a GPK ‘Battle of the Bands’ card, but using our band name instead of the GPK logo, and of course creating my own GPK style character and name.
Was wondering, as long as I don’t use the GPK logo, would there be any copyright issues with this, if we sold the poster on our band’s online store? Again, no GPK logo would be used, however our band logo would appear instead, in the style of the logo.
Thanks in advance!

Topps has a copyright on the trade dress, which means the logo style, name bar, numbering and etc. That being said, a lot of different people and companies parody GPK. I think you'll be fine as long as it can't be confused for a GPK.
