Growing up, I liked Adventures of Link better than Legend of Zelda. I also like Castlevania 2 more than Castlevania. Let's fight.

I like Tyson's Punch-Out better. "Mr. Dream" is a stupid jerk. I could never knock out Tyson though. I beat him by decision several times, but that was it. He also completely destroyed me more times than I can remember.

I like the first TMNT more than the 2nd and 3rd games. I like the hard NES games like Battletoads.

And the horror element made it that much better. There are some things that suck about it. The transition from day to night was a fuggin nightmare and the boss fight at the end was weak. But the ability to become more powerful and explore the countryside was great. Also, the music was incredible.

Also, the music was incredible. Even though it made things harder, I liked the shift from day to night because it showed time progression in a way no NES game I had played before did. It gave me the feeling that the events were taking place over many days and weeks, rather than in 20 minutes of real time. That added to the role-playing feeling for me.

The Clinger Wingers are complete bulls**t. My brother and I beat Battletoads playing 2 player (which is even harder because you can kill each other) the first week we got it. I never realized how difficult it was until decades later when everyone complained online about how hard it was. I was so excited to play it for months before it came out. I would read the Nintendo Power over and over again until it came out.

I couldn’t beat it with a game genie, so you guys were doing some next level s**t. I’m no slouch either, I’ve beaten TMNT1, Mike Tyson and Bayou Billy.

To be fair, I wouldn't have beat TMNT 1 without the help of a professional gamer at the Nintendo World Championships. I think I mentioned it in another thread. There was an area at the event where you could ask a professional Nintendo gamer any question or problem with a game and they would answer. I got stuck somewhere in the game and I told them exactly where I was and they told me what to do. I went home that night and beat the game.
