Here goes. I will post a small part of my collection each week (or every two weeks), as per our new moderator/dark lord LuCypher's command. I don't have a fancy collection full of OS original art. But I am proud of what I've been able to obtain in the relatively short time (~12 months) that I've gotten back into collecting. First up is my Dee & D/Don-Geon Master collection. This is my favorite "new" (post-OS) GPK. I think Brent captured something special with this one, as it does feel like a true GPK to me. I'm also a huge Dungeons & Dragons nerd, so that plays into it as well. 2nd Edition is the best edition (don't @ me)! Dee & D rainbow with black printing plate: Don-Geon Master rainbow with magenta printing plate: Dee & D and Don-Geon Master Topps Vault blank backs: Dee & D/Don-Geon Master final art:

All of the above cost a lot more than I'd care to admit. I completed the rainbows pretty quickly, but at no small cost. I paid up big for the magenta printing plate, and when the black one was listed on ebay, the seller was like "I know I can get my asking price because the magenta one sold for the same". And I was like, "yeah, the magenta plate did sell for that price - TO ME!" But I still had to pay up to get it because I'm a stupid.
There was a weird bidding war for the blank backs. I'm not sure who I was bidding against. I saw other blank backs sell for like $40, but these went for $75 and $90 respectively. I do not recommend getting into a blank-back bidding war.
The final art is my baby. Expensive. Very expensive (at least to me). But I had to have it. I blame Tommy4ya (may he rest in peace) for infecting me with original art fever. And cholera.
This is all I have for this character at the moment. Honestly, I think it's all that exists. But rest assured I'll pay through the nose the next time anything Dee & D related appears!

This is my Toady Terry/Croakin' Colin collection. Terry/Colin is my favorite OS GPK, mainly because of the composition and the beautiful, deep colors. I've been fascinated with this card since I was a kid. TERRY PSA 9 & COLIN PSA 10 Colin is a true 10 as far as I'm concerned, and doesn't have the copyright at the bottom of the card (which makes for a cleaner presentation). Terry may be rated a 9, but I think it stacks up evenly against any of PSA's 10s. I'm not sure why it wasn't rated accordingly. Once I can find a 10 that doesn't have the copyright on the front, it will replace this Terry in my collection. TERRY B&W ACETATE OVERLAY The artwork in the lily pads really stand out in this black and white overlay. Interestingly, the name plate at the bottom is positioned higher than it is on the actual card. I wonder if by "overlay" they literally mean just the acetate sheet with the GPK banner and the name plate on it (making the artwork itself just a background insert). TERRY UK GARBAGE PAIL KIDS PROOF & IRELAND/NEW ZEALAND GARBAGE GANG PROOF These are pretty self-explanatory. There is a luminescence to these acetate proofs that is really great. The Garbage Gang proof has the "peel here" arrow pointing inward, even though the actual Garbage Gang cards are not die cut (to the best of my knowledge).

I've been fascinated with this card since I was a kid. It just occurred to me that the names "Terry/Colin" are very similar to Terry Collins, the former manager of the New York Mets. The former manager who almost single-handedly cost the Mets the 2015 world series. The former manager who may well be the worst Mets manager of my lifetime. I am not sure how I feel about this. My world has been turned upside down!

This is my XXX-Giles/Foxy Mulder collection. It's a smaller collection, but I've been a big fan of the X-Files from when I started watching it in season 3 until it finished in season 8. What? Seasons 9-11? I don't know what you're talking about. FOXY MULDER PSA 10 & XXX-GILES AUTOGRAPH I got the Foxy Mulder PSA card from ebay, but the XXX-Giles autograph card came straight from the artist David Gross. David is super cool and easy to communicate with, by the way. I'm sure I'll buy more from him in the future. XXX-FILES/FOXY MULDER ORIGINAL ART And this is the reason why I contacted David in the first place - the original art! Notice the "I want to believe" wording doesn't appear on the poster. David told me that Topps added the wording digitally after he finished the final. He offered to add the wording, but I preferred to keep it this way. This was the first piece of original art I had ever owned (GPK or otherwise). I know it's not OS, but buying this made me feel like I was in the big-time anyway. One day I'll stop being lazy and get it framed.

These aren't technically Garbage Pail Kids, but they deserve to be posted here anyway: HORRORIBLE KIDS "THING JUAN/THING STU" AUTOGRAPHED CARDS HORRORIBLE KIDS "THING JUAN/THING STU" FINAL ART I owe Mark Pingitore a debt of gratitude for selling this to me, and for coping with my bulls**t. I absolutely love this piece. The second I saw it I knew I had to have it. Thanks Mark!

Mark Pingitore , I'm sure you've heard this before, and that's because it's true - you are doing what Topps *should* be doing. You have great concepts and great execution. And not just on the character art - your new set has thicker cardstock, die-cut stickers and card backs. I think we are all grateful to you for what you are doing. Thank you!

excellent addition to your collection! now i see why you wanted me to stop hoarding the horrorible kids haha. man, i love this piece...such a cool interpretation one of the great carpenter movies. Mark found the humor in some not so funny 'things'. love it, congrats on the pickup and great collection! now trade it to me and i agree completely about the hk3 boxes and cards. exceeded my expectations, and i had high hopes! cards are way better quality than anything flopps has been churning out. also grateful to have something to be stoked on.

The Thing piece is so messed up! Turning a Cabbage Patch Kid into a horrific monster from an R-rated movie (one that I treasure, to boot) is subversive and awesome. Mark took what was great about Garbage Pail Kids and cranked it up a thousand notches with this one. It goes beyond anything GPK ever did - it's not a kid throwing up, it's not an anthropormorphized animal or piece of food, it's not a generic movie monster like a vampire or a werewolf - it's a f**cking terrifying alien that assumes the form of its victims! I can't tell you how much I love this piece. And sorry, I won't trade it to you, ha ha! Not only do I love it, I wish I could have more! I would have loved to own the Donnie Darko piece and the Friday the 13th Part 2 piece. I had the opportunity, but I couldn't afford them. They have both sold now and I am a bit heartbroken. I'll admit that when you posted your Horrorible Kids art collection, it made me want to do the same thing - amass my own mighty collection. But I just couldn't make it happen. Still, at the end of the day I got my favorite piece, and that makes me extremely fortunate.

Here is my modest cheap toy collection. I have been on the fence the past couple of weeks about whether to go all-in on these little buggers, but I think I've finally decided to stand pat with what I have. It's a small collection, but I like it! LIGHT GREEN CHEAP TOY SET Nothing crazy here - just a base green set. What can I say? I like the color green. Hat tip to acbenny for selling me this complete set. ORANGE CHEAP TOY SET This is my "rare" set. I like how the orange color compliments the base green set. I have a whole Irish thing going on with my cheap toy collection! I put this set together in less than a month, thanks to spiritofyouth and acbenny. I think I started collecting this set at the perfect time, as they were selling what they had at the same time. I'm sure if I tried to collect another rare set, it would take years. NEON RED ADAM BOMB And here's the cherry on top - a neon red Adam, courtesy of spiritofyouth. Well, not courtesy of - I had to pay him. He didn't give it away for free. But it would have been super cool if he had. I'd have been like, "dude, thanks!" and he'd have been all like, "don't mention it, you deserve this, you're awesome". But it didn't go down like that for some reason. Still, I'm grateful to him and happy to have this rare Adam. He looks like a Swedish Fish! I kind of want to eat him. I wonder if it would make him more rare if he were passed through a digestive system... Anyway, that's my collection. Like I said, I'm content to stop here. I do not want what I have not got (yeah right). It's more like, I want to focus on saving up for some OS original art. But once I harpoon that white whale, I'll probably jump back into the cheap toy game. And then probably jump off a tall building because of my insurmountable debt. Good times!

OS3 "A-CARDS" PSA SET Here is a complete set of 41 OS3 "a" cards (all PSA 9 or 10) that I put together. These are mostly PSA 9s, but well-centered ones. Most could easily have passed as PSA 10s, though only a handful of cards in this collection (~5) are rated as such. Several months ago a seller on ebay listed a 75/88 variation set of PSA 9 OS3 cards. OS3 is my favorite series, but I foolishly didn't buy it. I then spent months tracking down these cards individually, settling for just an "a" set. I chose not to collect the "b" cards, since it's about the art, not the name plates. I sold off most of my OS2 PSA cards to afford this, but it is worth it.

CHEAP TOY COLLECTION - UPDATE Apparently I was mistaken when I said I was done collecting Cheap Toys, because I went out and bought mint condition blue and red sets. In addition to the neon red Adam I still have, here is my newly-grown mint condition collection: Look at those colors pop - red and green on top, and orange and blue on bottom! I mentioned this before in another thread, but taken together, don't these look much better than the blue-red-green-peach base set combo? Orange should have been a base color, damn it! And wouldn't this collection look even better if it had neon yellow in it as well? I sure think so. That's why I'm willing to trade my neon red Adam plus $35 for a neon yellow Adam. Any takers, shoot me a PM!

I am proud to announce the latest pieces in my GPK collection - the original, final art for Diced Brice/Chopped Chet, and Barfin' Marvin/Over Etan: (photos taken from the interwebs, but I do have them). I know there was some question about how the acquisition of Diced Brice went down - I convinced the seller to end the auction early, and paid more than the end price showed. Money was tacked on as shipping costs. So to anyone who missed out, don't be too bummed - I didn't get a "deal" on these two pieces. These are the first two pieces of original art from the original series that I have ever owned, and I like them very much. There is detail in Diced Brice that is not apparent (at least to me) in the GPK card - in the lower left corner, he is stepping on the head of his victim! I think this is a great hidden detail and it really elevates the piece. As for Barfin' Marvin, what really needs to be said? The artwork in this piece is absolutely amazing. It's a Pound piece, so of course it's going to be good. But I love the background art and the woman sitting at the table. It looks very realistic, and makes Barfin' Marvin look like a GPK that exists in the real world among humans. It is maybe my favorite post-OS9 Garbage Pail Kid. I am flabbergasted that I have these two pieces - I never thought I'd own one OS final, let alone two. Christmas came early for me this year!
