Isn't anyone a collector any more? Is everyone buying things just to relist them at much higher prices months later? Is this what it sounds like when doves cry? This is what eBay has done to collecting. At one time, it was a great source to find a good deal, but greed eventually set in. I can't even make an offer at a flea market anymore without the seller checking eBay first.

Tell me about it. You basically have to haunt the site, checking every few minutes all day long to jump on the one or two bargains before someone else gets them. And it's not bad just for buyers either. For instance, I'm selling an OS2 poster for $75, and a guy offered me $50, saying that another OS2 poster in similar condition sold for about $50 a few weeks ago. And I'm like, so what? Just because another seller was willing to sell for $50 doesn't mean it should set the market. OS2 posters are rare commodities. They aren't Battle of the Bands blaster boxes. My OS2 poster is part of my collection - if you want it, it's going to cost you $75. Otherwise, I'm happy to keep it. But on the other hand, eBay has made things much easier to find. It's a double-edged sword. I've had to pony up for a lot of what I've bought. But at the same time, my collection would have only a few items in it if it weren't for eBay.

I was just coming to post how crappy the banner is. Colin must have approved it. I guess the original curved banner wasn’t good enough. Prob had Junghwa Im redo it by the looks of it. Total s***. And it’s all just another money grab by Flopps. Hey, check this out. The Topps website says the "image is coming soon" for the GPK poster: www.topps.com/80thanniversary/80th-anniversary-posters/1985-garbage-pail-kids-80th-anniversary-poster.htmlCould this mean that they are fixing the banner? Ha ha, yeah right. But if they do, then maybe that means one more "gold" poster, and one more chance for some dirtbag to price gouge!
