This is kind of cool. I wouldn't pay $8 for the card, but I might pay $20 for the poster. But is it just me, or is the GPK banner font different on the poster? It just doesn't look exactly right compared to the wrapper: Also, the only difference between the regular poster and the 1/1 "gold" poster that quickly sold out appears to be just a bit of gold lettering at the bottom right corner: Not sure that makes it worth $80 more than the regular poster, but then again I buy Topps Vault blank backs, so what do I know?

I was just coming to post how crappy the banner is. Colin must have approved it.
I guess the original curved banner wasn’t good enough. Prob had Junghwa Im redo it by the looks of it. Total s***.
And it’s all just another money grab by Flopps.

I can't unsee the font change now. It's really bad. Why'd they do that?

I'm wondering if they had an artist re-do the banner lettering. To which I ask, why? Aren't the card and poster supposed to be a look back at part of Topps' history? Why then wouldn't it be an exact replication of the GPK banner that appeared on the OS1 wrapper in 1985? Why get artsy with it? Is it yet another instance of the CPK settlement limiting what Topps can do? Because if so, pay for a f**cking license already!

Dammit what’s wrong with the lettering now? How’s does Topps manage to fugg up a reprint?
I wish John Pound would make a surprise appearance at Topps and bitchslap Colin in front of everyone!

And there is no orange highlight to the flame. Plus, the flame extends over the top of the banner. What kind of BS are they trying to pull?

Yeah, I've decided not to buy the poster. I'd rather spend the $20 on three pints of Guinness.

I bet whoever bought that gold poster ordered so fast they missed the kindergarten hack logo. Someone paid an extra $80 for gold font. But, it is 1 of 1..... OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Gotta have that 1 of 1.

When your only job is to make a new banner but you really don’t give AF about your job That's pretty bad. I guess we should be grateful that the new GPK poster's banner is *slightly* better!

Topps needs to come out with GPK products that we look at and ‘gotta have’!! It’s honestly like they could care less and rush everything.
My god Topps way to lower the bar. I could have done better with the banner and I can’t draw worth of s&$t!! Very sad 😞

Holy peep!! It’s hilarious what some people think their things are worth or just plain sad when they try and take advantage of people!! Shameful I see it a lot. There was a GPK throw-blanket for sale a few months ago that was selling for about $30 on whatever website was offering it, and before it had even sold out there were sellers on eBay listing it for twice that price. Or look at Tommy. He bought a bunch of OS final art for hundreds of dollars each, but now if you want to buy any of them from him he asks for thousands. "Tommy4ya" my ass. More like "TommyJust4Tommy".

(null) I’m wondering about that GPK book that came out a couple of years ago if it has values in it as far as for PSA etc.. or if it’s just pics?? Prices on eBay are all over the place I’m wondering if there’s a good price guide out there and if that one is worth buying?
I started buying OS1 and don’t want to get ripped off I know a few are VERY pricey

There are also some cards attached to the inside of the cover (though some sellers may have removed them before listing the books on eBay). I bought two copies (one to keep and one as a gift), and spent less than $10 each on both. I wouldn't pay more than $10-15, especially if the cards aren't included. But there are no prices listed inside. There isn't a GPK price guide as far as I am aware. Honestly, the list of sold items on eBay is the best price guide. It's not some guy's subjective opinion on the cards' worth, it's the actual prices that the cards sold for.

And that’s true... one of the biggest mistakes I made when collecting old coins was taking book value too literally and I lost money going that route. I like to look at the PSA website populations and what they sold for it’s interesting

No way ☺️ It will be either traded for the Israeli havurat hazevel cards 411 / 431 / 880 (anybody got one or all of them for a trade or sell?) or that it would kept with my other gpk recreated stuff 😄

So, one could buy a new piece of cardboard, that looks like the original wrapper for $8. Or, you can buy an original wrapper from 1985 for less than half that. I'll take the original pink wax!

Is everyone buying things just to relist them at much higher prices months later? Is this what it sounds like when doves cry?
