I'm going to say trick. This seems more like a movie maniac set, not Halloween. Not a single Halloween gag in there.

So they didn’t even use Michael Myers for this set? 🤦♂️
Instead they used a Friday the 13th parody as #1. 🤦♀️
Friday the 13th was earlier this month. 🤦♂️🤦♀️

I don't see any ghosts, goblins, witches, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc. You know, Halloween characters.

Just Topps Artists ripping off Mark Pingitore's Horrible Kids, at least there's not a single JungHwa Im Walton card in this set, so that's a step in the right direction.

While I can certainly appreciate the horror movie references, this isn’t really a Halloween set. Horror ≠ Halloween I can think of 10 gags right off the top of my head: - candy corn GPK getting eaten - a kid grabbing a bunch of candy out of his bag and there are razor blades stuck all over his hand - people giving out candy are scarier than the kids trick 'r treating - bully(s) taking a kid's candy - person giving out candy is missing their eyes, ears, nose, etc. and they're all in the candy bowl - A Sam GPK from Trick 'r Treat movie - A new jack o lantern GPK puking out all of the seeds and insides of the pumpkin - A GPK lifting up the sheet of their ghost costume revealing they're a scarier monster underneath - A fat GPK pigging out on candy - A sad GPK getting made fun of because of their cheap home-made costume

I like the set but the price is a little high. Really digging the Bub card.

I agree the art is pretty sweet. but way too much money . wish they just saved this for a upcoming release . I hate ordering from topps and getting dinged up cards in a plastic case. been there done that . I rather pull mint cards from a pack.

The artwork is a huge improvement, more or less. But, Pingitore already beat them to it.😎

We've done Freddy, Pennywise, Jason and all kinds of famous monsters/ horror icons since the 1st series of GPK where you start with Dracula.

I'm hoping we do a full retail monster set. If Mark want to do the end of the world, bands, TV shows or Americana I'm sure no one will care. He's doing a Star Wars st that has a card that looks almost exactly like one I showed years ago and I am not hassling him about it. The more the merrier.

You know this is a message board where people should feel free to make statements and voice their opinion. So what's the difference if anyone cares or not?

Thanks much for the defense on this one Steve. And yes, I was only making a basic observation on the set as a whole, nothing more, nothing less. And I apologize Slamjim if I offended with my comment. I fully believe as you do that any artist out there that wants to make a horror parody set can fully do so. Also, if you can actually get the ol' wheels of change a'clankin' at topps then power to you. My humble opinion, was that Pingitore has been out there with full pop-culture horror theme sets for a little while now, and he deserves his kudos for such, that's all.

Wow LD, if Topps produced top quality artwork like that in the sets they release, GPKs would be popular again.

I saw folks talking about this set on other horror forums. I think people were mostly interested in the characters. Being GPK versions was just a bonus.

Just imagine how well it could have sold if the majority of the cards didn't suck. $50 is a hefty fee for a few decent cards and a bunch of junk. The Freddy one was fantastic and the Pennywise one was good. The rest are just the typical Topps no knowing s**t about GPK offerings.

I think the art as a whole was good in this set, but $50 for 20 cards....wtf is that?
