I'll take "Things You'd Never Think You'd Hear" for $1000, Alex. I got tingles down my leg on each subset! This series got me the most excited since ANS 1! And I think it is the best set since OS 15!!!! Although I hate the theme series in general and other things I have mentioned in the past, I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hope they do a part two to this!!!!! There are so many good ideas that have been floated by fans. Like where's the pogo-ball? And Tiffany the robot from Small Wonder? Anywho, sooo glad I FINALLY enjoyed myself all over this set! What are "Comments about the newly released trash being pawned of as GPKs"? In fairness, there are a couple from the new set that I've taken a shine to. Nothing sexual though.

Ok so it took Target 2 weeks to get in Battle and I am patiently waiting, so I can get a unopened pack for my "unopened pack binder" and a awesome opened pack wrapper to front my series, plus extras to stick my faves on the binder cover and inside. __________________ JUST GOT MINE IN from Ebay! My reaction? Well first I sorted them from behind. So I could not see their faces. They were only numbers to me and I went in order that Barron Aarons checklist said I should. After each subset went into protection, I flipped them over to see what was working with. I like the Smurfs card a lot. Showing them as ravenous monsters is a nice spin, since Gargamel was always trying to eat them in the cartoon. And Smurfette is getting her first taste, so I feel like she'll become just as ravenous as the others.

Open question: Are the "Phlegm Border (Yellow)" parallels distinct from the gold "Fool's Gold" parallels? Because I have not seen any yellow parallels on eBay for the new 80s set. Are these hard to find or something? Also, the blog that Rockholt linked to says that there are 360 total printing plates for the new set – 4 per card artwork. But I have seen plates on eBay that show the name of the "a" card. Does this mean there are four plates for the "a" card, and none for the "b" card? Or are there actually 8 plates per card artwork? Thanks!

Are they rare/expensive? Where do they fit on rainbow? My current understanding is the rainbow works in the following order of rarity (least rare listed first): yellow, green, black, blue, red, gold. Is that right?

I would put them as more rare than reds, to be honest. GPKNews.com has the breakdown of rarity of each card, but even he doesn't know how rare yellows are. I will say that I am aware of very few yellow border complete sets out there. Never seen one on Ebay, although I've seen at least one person on this forum talking about having one (for a previous release).

I'll make sure to jump on the yellows I want if/when I find them.

I actually loved this set. The concepts were clever and many were very original. Even the rehashed concepts were well done. I love the 80s theme. I will say the Goldberg's subset was terrible. I was hoping to see Different Strokes, Punky Brewster, Facts of Life, etc for the sitcoms. Instead, I was disappointed by multiple Adam Goldberg cards. Still, outside of a few busts, I thought this set was great and was the best since since the BNS.

I thought the wrapper art looked familiar. It's Doomsday Dom and A-Bomb Tom from OS14.

Been away a few years so not up to date on clarity... checking dacardworld.com they have the yellow $50 box($42 on sale) and the $80 blue collectors box which clearly states 1 auto/plate/sketch per box.
The yellow box picture says hobby collector box, 1 hit per box (auto/sketch) but I have a feeling this is wrong for the price, just looking to see if there's a guarantee per box for these since a case of 8 is on sale for $325.

This is a good series. Loving the Bob Ross, Pee-Wee Herman, and all the Toys and Video Games cards.

I picked up a yellow hobby collector box from topps. I can't guarantee they all have a hit, but i did get an artist sketch in it. GPKWorld has the odds listed - doesn't say anything about per box, so i'm guessing not a guarantee.

I bought a box of each, nothing in 'hobby' box besides a gold, the 'hobby collectors' had 1 gold, 1 pack parody, 1 patch, kind of junk there since I was expecting sketch/plate/auto based on pictures I've seen around, found another site that listed patches also in that 1 hit per box Ordered a case of blaster boxes and picked up 4 from Target today, hopefully something in those.

Just started buying again, 1x hobby box, 1x hobby collector box, 4x blaster boxes from Target, 16x blaster boxes (case) from Walmart.
6 Golds and 1 creased patch which was the 1 guarantee from the collector box, so far $320 gone...
Remembering why I quit before, I dropped $2000-3000 on BNS1/BNS3/FB3/Chrome1, the only pulls I got were from BNS1: 1 plate and 1 sketch, all downhill from there. What really got me though is people buying a few packs and getting plates and sketches left and right, felt my luck is just total crap.

Not worth it anymore. Just base? I missed the last 8 or so series released and gave up trying to price all the ADDITIONAL bonus/insert/etc cards for them, maybe I should just give it up and save my money, TOPPS isn't making it easy for it to be an average hobby to do on your own, I can't imagine kids nowadays trying to make any of the insert sets.
