Hey everyone,
The photobucket bulls**t bomb has hit the UG. I will be fixing the board theme images very soon.
I have already fixed the "Main UG Theme' but I don't have time until tomorrow to fix the rest of the themes. So if you are using a different Theme/Skin, please go into your profile and switch to the Main UG Theme for the time being.
I'll update this thread as I fix other themes.
Also, I'm going to need to fix many of the custom titles/stars images as well. That'll come after the themes.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

Cory, is there any way members could chip in some $ and have the forum host images? I built this place before the board offered an option to host images. That's why many of the things were hosted at Photobucket. Now the board gives me 50MB to host images just for themes/skins. I just never used it because it was a lot of work to upload everything. It doesn't look like I'm going to use the 50MB for the themes. As for hosing images that members can post. Proboards is pretty expensive. For 500MB it's $3 a month. For 1GB it's $9 a month. We get 200MB for free and we burned through that in no time. 200MB gets you about 200-350 pics. So 1GB will get you about 1000-1500 pics. That isn't a lot. Also, the pics that get hosted are shitty because you have to click them to see them well anyway. It's not worth it. Ultimately I'd like to keep the site free because I don't want people to have to commit to anything. |

All of the themes are fixed now.  Next I'm going to fix the custom titles images. Please be patient on this. It might not be until next weekend. |

This sucks! i love peeking at everyone collection and know its a giant mess! everyones collection pics are gone....its so damn sad.

I fixed most of the avatars and the custom titles. We shouldn't see too many of those photobucket images going forward. I'm going to fix some of the older popular threads as I have time. Starting with the original art section. I suggest people use www.imgur.com to put up free pics (hopefully they don't pull a photobucket). If you load your pics there and use the same image title, you can use find and replace to easily change your pics out. I know it's a pain in the ass, because I just spent some time doing my collection thread. |
