GPK The Movie - VHS/Betamax/Laserdisc/CED

The GPK Movie was released in various formats across the globe. Let's see all the various releases! I've been hunting for the Laserdisc but it's impossible to find. Only a catalogue # exists. Some hardcore LD collectors told me production may have been shutdown due to poor ticket sales, but a test LD release may be out there in the wild. No idea if it was ever released on CED but most likely not. ** Update. After doing some research on CED (aka video vinyl) the CED was discontinued in 1986 and the GPK Movie was released in 1987, so it would not be found in CED format.

The Betamax is hard to track down as well but a USA and U.K. release have been found so far . Anybody have an extra Betamax copy for sale? 😇

This was finally released on Blu-ray, but read on Amazon reviews that it was missing a few scenes. That's disappointing.

Oh yeah? Interesting. I want to get the La Pandilla Basura release on bluray one day.

Before I got back into GPK I amassed quite the Laser Disc collection via Craigslist. Most of them $1 each or less. Once I relapsed back into GPK I wanted to find the GPK Movie Laser Disc to add to my collection.

So the Betamax with the red GPK banner on it is the U.K. Version. I managed to find a "sample" cover for it from the UK. I guess it was used in a video rental store. 🤔
