I'm sure in the end it wasn't about money or copyright infringement. I'm sure the crackdown comes to sheer jealousy of someone putting out a better set than them...  ? |

Damn! I was hoping to pick me up the newest one too. I was just waiting until I had some more disposable funds. Since I just bought a new house and have 2 mortgages now, money has been a little tight. I have some of the older fan sets and they are awesome. This totally sucks.

Sorry, this wasnt supposed to be listed under this topic....however.....it does go hand in hand with things Topps might be looking to crack down on. I'll get some pictures up when I'm not at work. I won't, however, be revealing the sources. But you guys will get a kick out of it all the same. |

The source is a secret, but I wanted to share this with the forum. Now if only Topps could pump out some cool stuff like this. Sunshine Yellow, Snot Green and White........I love it!!!!  I'll post these somewhere on the Cheap Toy section of this site too!  |

Cuz that ended badly after Topps got butt hurt over a superior GPK product they were not responsible for and shut it down. I don't want to get anybody in trouble for these shirts existing. If I had it my way, I'd help distribute them among the members on this site, but I'm sure that would be stopped promptly. I just wanted to share the pictures and ideas with all of you. Please correct me if I'm wrong fellow UG members. |

I wouldn't buy one anyway, cheapies aren't my thing. It just comes off as kind of a humble brag when you share pics and then don't post the link to share.
But maybe people who PM you can get the link if they're interested or something. Not trying to pick a fight, it's just weird to post at all if you're that worried. My two cents.

Well, its a local shop, NOT a website that you can link to. And as excited as I am to find these, I was sharing, not bragging. Also, you are right.....if someone had wanted one, they could have asked me to send them one. But with the Topps police around, you'd have to find these in person. However, this is probably just a temporary shirt design that will be gone soon. GPKs ain't that popular with the public anymore. But I also found a really cool yellow/green Garbage Can-dy shirt there too! Fun stuff!  |

This place is already a ghost town, and with people getting burned out on the bad quality online releases of poor sets, do they feel like they are "protecting their brand" by blocking fans from having fun with small community sets?
Seems like a knee-jerk reaction by a mid level manager that has no idea who his product is being bought by.
I was never a fan of fan sets, but I'm still sad to see them go. Thanks for the time and effort put into their production.
