Alec is the King of the Cheap Toy Customizing Era, despite only exclusively releasing one sculpt: Nasty Nick, though he did caste some other customizer's Cheap Toys, such as those by Alvin and Nolan. Alot of customizers were jealous of Alec's 'mystery formula,' attention to detail, flawless casting, original packaging and graphic work, cool website, colorful personality, and his connections. Unfortunately Alec could be quite emotional and sensitive and when angered would write some insulting commentary that isolated the community, and was subsequently banned from various groups. But, none of this matters, now. Let the toys and packaging speak for itself. The 'cleanness' and sharpness of Musclething's colors and casting is unrivaled. What people don't understand is the ungodly hours he spent in his garage making these toys one by one.

My favorite custom toy PERIOD. Black Big Nick variant. You can not simply ever know the awesomeness of this lone toy unless you experience it in person. I would sell Sunshine Kirk before I would sell this toy. Oversized Nasty Nick in a flat black.... k i l l e r .

Gradated Green Nick, he was trying to mimic the Novo Bonbon variants by the same name, but could never get it right.

This was the only custom I ever bought from Alec, and it was the first custom I ever bought from him or anyone. I asked him in 2012 to make me a Magenta Nick in honor of the then-recently discovered (June 12, 2012 Ben Bruns) Magenta Cheap Toys, and he did and charged me 15.00. And yes, the color is WAY wrong, why? Because he never saw a Magenta in person.

From his Miami Ice period... here's his Clear Blue variant. No as popular as his 'frosted' Miami Ice variants.

Btw, this is cast is a cool GITD/Solar rubber -it glows like crazy!! Also, here's a painted custom by the Cheap Toy Hunter, thabearrocks! circa 2010

Which brings us to Uraeus, a great Cheap Toy customizer, and the only one focused solely GPK Cheap Toys. Here's his Cracked Crystal, cast by Musclethings during Alec's Miami Ice period.

Group shot of Uraeus's best sculpts, in my opinion. He made me this subset in Peach, by request.

In 2011 Uraeus (Alvin) made an exclusive Cheap Toy custom for Cheaptoyland.com. He has thus far been criticized for his figures, seemingly inconsistent in quality, and size and proportions. His casting left much to be desired. Murray was his first 'good one', and was a hit! The green one on the right is the original first run CTL exclusive (Christmas Green, and later made in Christmas Red) The other colors came two years later... Close ups to get a sense of the quality:

Like Musclethings (Alec), Uraeus made his own packaging but took a more traditional approach, which I love. His checklists are great! Wrappers:

Cheaptoyland was made in August (20th) 2009, at 7pm. I was the first to log in behind CTM and was the first mod and stayed that way until we let the site go a few months back. One of the funniest things early on was CTM sneaking in Sunshine Bomby in the football section of the ewspaper he was working at the time, check it out!! I enhanced it a bit more...

2011 He quit doing sketches in 2011 but I forced him to make one as a part of a deal for a Canadian Aqua Chris he sold me, I didn't want him to give up making these. He felt like people didn't appreciate the art he sent them. So, he pulled out a random sheet of writing paper and sketched this, not a surface he had ever made a Crummy Kid on -just a reminder of the disgust in the hobby he had at the moment.

2012 His most prolific Crummy Kid year. He started making them on the backs of candy boxes, and cool found surfaces. I love this 2012 era of his work... First up, Distorted Dot Novo, on the back of a Disability Form Envelope!

2012 "CHEAP WAR" on the back of a cereal box. An atypical style, he never intended on parting with it, I was over at his place and asked if I could have it. LOVE IT!!
