It's official, GPKUG is now 10 years old!  So much has happened over these last ten years. However, it doesn't even feel like 10 years have passed. Here are some of the cool things that have happened since the UG was born. UG Stuff: 1) Fan Sets 1-4 were released (with fanset 5 on the way) 2) B2 Carl Wreck was reprinted because of us 3) Garbage Parody Kids CD 4) 4 GPKUG Con get togethers 5) Representing was born Topps Releases: 1) ANS 5-7 2) GPK Flashback 1-3 (THE BIRTH OF PARALLELS) 3) Brand New Series 1-3 - Mini BNS Set 4) Magnet Set 5) 2014 Series 1-2 - Bukimi Set 6) 2015 Series 1 7) Chrome 1-2 8) Greeting Cards 9) GPK 1-5 Book 10) Comic Books 11) MiniKins 1-2 12) Calendar 13) GPK Silly Bands 14) Comic Con Exclusive Jumbo Cards Plus we have some cool stuff on the way. 1) Documentary 2) 30th Anniversary Set 3) Funko What has been your favorite UG moment over the last 10 years? It's been a long run so far. I came around right before ANS5 was released. I think the ANS Excitement threads are what stand out to me. There was a lot of discussion and anticipation for each release. Also the digital vs. physical art discussion days.  |

I remember guy who always spammed the Cbox pretending to be other people. That led to some really funny stuff. ALL HAIL JOECOOL! was born. |

This is quite a milestone. I have been here since 2006, so not quite 10 years but close. This place has been awesome. I have made a lot of good trades here and the board is very informative. My favorite moments were probably the Orlando GPKUG Con and the Chicago GPKUG Con. Both great events. It was great to meet a lot of people from the board. The worst moment... Probably when TCT quit the board  |

I haven't been here long but the UG connected me with a lot of good people who are passionate collectors, many of whom I keep in contact with regularly. It's been a place to talk GPK as well as a variety of other topics. For the most part Ive felt like I can express my opinions good or bad. Of course there is the occasional tyrant who comes along and wants you to see it their way or the highway but those people have no affect on the enjoyment of the UG.
One of my favorite UG moments was when the staff helped expose the inner workings of a highly sophisticated scammer. They basically told the community that this type of deceit will not be tolerated, and known crooks will be shunned by the GPK community.
Long live the UG!!

I've been here almost 5 years and in that time I've had a lot of fun sharing the enjoyment of the GPK hobby with other members, gained some great friends, and helped out the community when I could.
My best memory is when some of my friends from the UG reached out to my family and I and offered to help us during a very difficult time in which we lost almost everything we owned. We were humbled when people we never met in person offered advice, financial assistance, gifts for our daughter who suffered the worst from a health aspect, purchases of some of the few remaining GPK collectibles I had, and just words of encouragement. To this day I am very grateful to all those kind-hearted people who showed compassion for my family, and when we hit the Powerball tonight each of you will never need to worry about money again :-)

It's weird I've been part of this board just shy of 7 years and the things I have seen change has been remarkable. First I have talked to and met a bunch of great people that have been like family ( the distant cousin you talk too but never see) . second I have seen a lot of changes to Gpk that has been fun and not so ... Getting the cool fan sets on here is a treat . chasing down that blasted B2 Carl wrecked was my favorite NOT!!! (Some of you know what I mean) .. But then I look at today and what the heck has happened to this beloved hobby of ours... It makes me sad in some ways why couldn't Topps leave things alone I get the ANS art was bad in some since but adjusted it and go on do really need 5 of the same card with different borders and I joked about it a few years ago about them cutting a pencil and putting it onto a card but they made swatches for GPK really??? I thought when they first did the sketch cards for ANS 4 I was happy getting a real sketch from a artist .... The minikins was a great idea, but comic books COMIC BOOKS?? Really Topps are we really that desperate we have to get IDW into this with dumb stories every month... What every happen to the calendar and the book with OS cards in it i'll tell you no money in it..if Topps could find a way to get a fund me page to get people to open a campaign for Adam Bomb for president you would see it he!! Everyone else is running why not have someone we all know run. You know I'm right you can see it right now Adam Bomb for 2016 I can already see the merchandise now t-shirts , bumper stickers and so on ... We'll I'm done for now thanks for reading and happy anniversary .. I love you guys and remember one thing

Absolutely, I actually think the drama is the best part, you get any 150 middle-aged men and women in the same room at the same time, there's going to be some drama, which is better than standing in a big circle holding hands and and singing songs and s**t. This is a fuggin Garbage Pail Kids board, for goodness sake, not a Cabbage Patch Kids Nursery Singalong at Babyland. The beauty of it is the variety of personalities, and styles of collecting, differing viewpoints, etc. If I logged in and there was 150 rusVan's standing around, I'd get the fugg out of here! |

Torn Shaun drama has always been a favorite of mine and I have only witnessed a wee little bit of it. There sure is no lack of drama when Shaun is around. He is a horrible trader but an awesome guy. I really enjoyed hanging out with him at the Chicago GPKUG con. Would I ever trade with him? Hell  Haha. Shaun passed out missing all the GPK action:  Me, Shaun and Travis (  )  Shaun's Target basked:  Shaun and dxtc (pre-arrest I assume)  |
