All in time for Valentine....j/K Glad everything is straight. Well I would be up for it, but if it has already been talked about well it's up to them. I really have a very tiny voice with all those matters and I am working on the LD Monster thing, but if they would decide that I would definitely be interested. That would be the coolest thing since the invention of the hot pocket (sung with that chatchy little hot pocket tune in the background) I'm actually scared of this idea. Seeing as Topps is focused on toilet humor so much it'd probably be 30 pages of GPK taking dumps, throwing up and blowing their nose to stop crime. I don't know about you but I'll fuggin pass. :vomit: |

It wasn't for Valentines but for the good of the collectors. Although, it would be good if there was a holiday that was for making amends with others... like the opposite of Festivus. If enough of the artists are behind a comic book, then Topps will definitely pay more attention to it. You're just starting to discuss the possibility of the comic book, so those already thinking the comic will be just about puke, pee, etc. are jumping the gun... there's plenty of possibilities for the storyline of a GPK comic book. Wayne I don't think I'm jumping the gun. I know there are hundreds of possibilites for a good comic but can Topps actually pull something like that off in this day and age? If we don't say that it is unacceptable now, we will get a comic with nothing but farting contests and bodily function crime solvers. If Topps can't get the actual GPK sets right, how can they get a comic book right?  |

My girlfriend just mentioned having pop cultures references that blend in with the material; sometimes satire, sometimes straight takes on things (including Spider Manny featured comics and such).

It'd be cool to have back stories to how GPK came to be GPK. Like some explosive expert was going to blow up a toy shop and stuffed a GPK full of explosives, out of blind curiosity the GPK ignites himself before the scheduled time thus creating Adam Bomb  |

Luis has gotten away with LD in GPKs before. Is this rule effectively immediately? It was effective starting with the Kobe painting. He had LD sitting there with a tie on in the crowd. They said no more. Kobe was the second GPK he did for ANS5 (Batty Brad was first) so all of the ones after that are LD free. |

Awwwwww... Eff that ish! Luis, feel free to draw LD on any cards I send to get signed.  Really, though, this makes Topps look like a bunch of bullies... Limiting their artists creative freedom. Tsk. I'm not one to bash Topps, as you guys full well know, but this is bull... Luis never obviously throws LD into a painting, it's always subliminal. It's like they're doing it just to be asses. If I may make an analogy, it's like taking the kid's lunch money from him when you're stinking rich. In fact, I showed the piece to my buddy's five year old and pointed out the LD Monster and it brought a smile to his face to see a little monster in it. He even showed his dad. I could see if nothing were going on in the painting and it would distract from the action. I totally understand that, but in a painting like Batty Brad? I didn't even notice it before someone told me about it! |

About the banning story: Shaq and LD went to the Kobe game and they were just simply too rowdy and were asked to leave. Shaq was trying to mock kobe and distract his game until it ultimately caused kobe's performance to squander. Ld got into trouble and now he's off to reek havoc some place else. The sketch that I won for the contest arrived today!!
It is so FLIPPIN' awesome!! Great work Luis!!
It arrived in a fashionable LD spray painted envelope that is sweet! It came with a autoed GPK sample card!
I will have pics of it shortly.
Because of how lightly it was drawn my scanner won't scan it. So I will have to take pics of it or something!
