These are awesome... seeing the OS style and 620+ numbering makes me smile. I think I am going to put together an honorary set using the cards as they were released in ANS and Chrome (I will begrudgingly have to use FB2 for Idol IRA and KEN Tiki though unless they come in Chrome 2). Hell... I may even make me a wax wrapper mockup! Jimbo did this awhile back before chrome. OS16 GreatnessAmazing how many names were changed for ANS1.

Cool stuff. Funny, I was thinking of photoshopping my own card (not the whole set) to replace the FB banner and have the original white border... since the chance of me finding the proof is pretty slim.
Most of my collecting has focused on OS1-9, so I did not realize ANS1 had so many from OS16. There are some great ones in there so if an OS 16 set came out, I would probably snatch that up. I wish they had released all of them in ANS at some point with the original backs so we could piece together the set.

That's awesome...
What color would the packs have been? The color scheme changed from OS14+ where the box was purple and packs were blue... OS15 box was red and packs were green. So if the OS16 box was blue, what color would the packs have been?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I needed to try and get things going again. I don't have any OS16's myself, but I have been working on re-creating them in Photoshop and I could use your help! I've got a full set of fronts done, but would like to keep working on upscaling some of the art, and I've begun to work on the backs. Any hi-res scans, info, etc. you guys can post would help me immensely (I could really use a good pic of the uncut sheet proofs to figure out layout)! Here's a taste: Thanks in advance!!

Do you still have the proofs that you posted in this thread? Scans of them would help me a TON, especially LIBBY Stick and Quittin' Time QUINN (mine are not as hi-res as I'd like).

Great thread. I don't have any series 16th proofs but I have the original art to at least one of them. Found this one a few weeks back. The card features the character Twisted Blister. Was Twisted Blister ever featured as a GPK sticker?

The OS16 comics were mostly featuring non-GPK celebrity parodies, Pee was never on a card by himself.

I have a blue line sheet and a negative sheet (of just the backs) for this set. Pretty cool to see there was an actual story unfolding, and that they knew it was the end. Fitting way to go out, too bad they didn't make it that far.

The blue line sheets are pretty hard to see since the blue line print is very faint, its for the artist to paint over then they print the final from that. He said it never got that far. Size of the sheet art is about 50% bigger than the cards, give or take. Definitely a framing conundrum. I can throw something up later to give an idea what I'm talking about.

Fitting way to go out, too bad they didn't make it that far. I'd love to see these! I have the comics with their final inking thanks to Aaron @ GPKWORLD, but I can't find the Flick-it anywhere. BTW - You can see all the comic backs I colored on Aaron's site: Barren Aaron's GPK World

I still need higher resolution versions of some of the art (mainly the ones not in ANS1) to wrap things up. Here's an updated look at my process: Also, thanks to hard work (and lots of squinting) from Barren Aaron, I now know what each card had on their backs and what order the comics are in. Most of the backs have been recreated, including a checklist (I still need to do the puzzle pieces):

I was going to take a vote to see if I should commission him to finish the work or leave the blueline art as is. But I guess I don't need to. The negative and blueline sheets I have are just of the comics, no Garbage Gang header or flick it parts.

Here is the negative. The negatives and bluelines are the same size, about double the cards? I put in a card in some of the pics to get an idea of how big it is. Very poignant how they mention turning Detroit into GPK land

Here is a closeup of one of the blueline panels. This is so when the artist paints the final the thin blue lines don't show up in the printed card. Here I added a card to show the size.

Here is what one of the full blueline sheets look like. Again very hard to see but here you go. I think its pretty awesome that they tried to do something special to acknowledge the final series , even though it ultimately never made it to print.

Very poignant how they mention turning Detroit into GPK land This is really cool to see, thanks! It looks like you actually have the negatives of the final line work (black plate) and the blue was used as paint guide lines (with each color then being broken into their CMYK values). It's a great look into the process that is used. For a clearer look, I inverted your negative which definitely corresponds with the final line work Aaron has on his site: Finally, here's what the blue lines might have looked like colored, with and without the black ink overlay:

Are you a wizard? Very cool stuff. Someone finished the coloring just not the artist I got it from. It went so far as for Topps to produce a full color acetate sheet. I don't remember where I saw that though, maybe sold from the vault?
