I am am disappointed as well. Although relief also comes to mind. Base sets, a final, and a few of each parallel is fine with me going forward. Topps just saved me.... Well let's just say lots. Going forward, completist I am not. Welcome to GPKA. The first step to healing is admitting you have a problem. Topps really has gone overboard with GPK as of late. The online only mini cards was such a kick in the caucasian ballsax peach. Not only were those cards JUST released, but Topps ignored something we've been asking for for ages. An online only release of OS16 as it was meant to be released back in the day. They could add parallels, sketches, plates and all of that stuff to it as long as the base set is there. It'd probably take the same amount of work to do it, yet they re-release a brand new set slightly smaller. I don't get it. My collection is pretty much complete. I have everything I want. The only thing I could possibly do is upgrade a few pieces of art to series favorites. Unlikely it will happen but it could I guess.

After BNS2 I only want to collect base sets final art and maybe some bonus cards. Topps and flippers really put that in perspective for me. By the way if anyone has a deal for 2 BNS3 sets for me let me know...still haven't picked any BNS3 up.

I need far to many proof cards to say i'm happy but the need for new series is waning quickly I'd rather just buy a cheap base set and go after proofs. I think i'm about done with my sealed collection too it's not worth it i'll pick up a sealed box for each set if it has some really good art maybe a box to rip. But I can't convince myself to buy like I did when ANS1 came out or when BNS1 came out the thrill was just in the return of GPK. The real killer for me which will always be in the front of my mind will be Carl Wreck I had very little funds at the time but kept buying trying to get that damn card. The things I want to do are add a few finals and add more proofs.

Looking back at this hobby, it's amazing that Topps did exactly the opposite of what their fans were telling them to do. Instead they catered to the rippers and flippers who are now rejoicing at all the hits they can add to their "short term collection" with this new online mini set. I guess we're all just "collectors" now adays. Turning and burning the hits we don't want in order to afford to stay in the hobby. The whole thing is a big joke now and it's apparent that Topps went one step too far. 2014 will be more of the same so get that 9th job now. But this site is looking pretty dead compared to this time last year, only a few hardcore collectors left, the rest are all new ripper/flipper accounts that will come/go based on the popularity of a new release (we'll prob see a bunch of them for chromeos2 again).
btw: dirty, don't do it (#2014 parallels), it's not worth it man. Just wastin money. I'm letting those canvas/relics/blankback/10xparallels,etc,etc sit on ebay collecting dust. Let the flippers buy them from each other. You see the effect it has had on the new mini series. It might send a msg to Topps (haha yeah right, they see nothing but $$$ right now).

Never did understand how flippers make there money from this hobby. Seeing what people pull out of cases you would think the lose money. Well beside the mini's. Odds of pulling something good is higher then other realises.

Odds of pulling something good is higher then other realises. I dont know how they can make any money either or even come close to breaking even. Even if you get that one big card you still wont make your money back. The only way to make money, say for chrome would have been to buy one box or a few packs and get the adam or nn plate. Otherwise if you bought a case and got one of those plates and sold you still wouldnt get your money back.

One thing I'm seeing is more of is OS PSA set collectors showing up in the registry. Not sure if these are defunct parallel chasers or what but it's good to see. There is now a 2nd person working on all 15 series as well If I run into tons of extra cash, I will be going for the '10' set too

I would personally wait some time for PSA 10s. You might not need to run into as much dough to make a set, and I have not been completely impressed with some 10s. Yes, OS1 will be challenging, but low pops are most likely from lack of interest/submissions not specimens in my opinion.

I would have said "yes, my collection is complete" a few years ago. I had all the sets finished and 1 unopened pack from all the series. Now I REALLY want a rough sketch and a final art piece to top off my collection

My collection is complete when i have all the cards of my needs and i am not buying or chasing any other "new" sets accept the UG Fansets that may come out ( yes i will stay a true fan allways ). A few years ago i could only dream about coming this far and having such a divers collection! I want to take a little brake and like gpkcollector says just boycot the whole flipping/ ripping game thats going on right now. I hope in a year or so i hope my break will pay off and the hobby changes for the good.

I love the rare chase cards, keeps me hoping more will turn up. I'd feel complete if I happen to find the Supers and plates for my characters. I also look forward to future series with new versions of my favorites. I also like them graded and hope for 10s, if not, the hunt continues!

No way! I only have OS 1 -15, not all varations tho. I know boxes are becoming rare to say the least- but what's the best way to buy OS 1 and 2 boxes?

I only have 5 cards at the moment as I just started collecting. I hope to have a more complete set of cards in the near future.

I'm no where near complete. My wife does though. I'm starting on the ANS now. Still buying OS1&2 buy the singles along with international GPK's. More focused now on ANS though. I still can't help myself in target though. Shiits insane. People at home and work think I'm nuts with this hobby of mine. Love it though, won't stop can't stop. Just bought MADD 265 bout 10mins ago. Did I mention I collect MADD also. Lol
