Wow..cool, you are very talented....I'ld buy that stuff from you. I actually wear a lot of pave charms when I go out...I'm kind of an old hipster and right now, I'll tell you sparrows, skulls and octopi are the thng...well, skulls are kinda over-killed but new skull designs are alway welcome...Your stuff is very Vivianne Westwood. She is the god-mother of Punk fashion...I love the goose, the skull and anchor and th goldfish a lot too...the Puma with the skull in its mouth would totally rock if you materialized it ....is this what you do for a living? Thanks but Barry has dibb's ...........just kidding. Punk is not something I have thought about before when thinking about my work, I do like tattoo art though especially Japanese tattoo art. Yes I am a Jeweler, thanks for the comments good to hear there is someone else that likes pave as much as I do, I dont wear any jewelry myself but I enjoy making it, I'm going to do a butterfly next. I will post a finished Pic of this skull soon. Haha dude I would totally buy your stuff.... If I could afford it!! Hmmmm... maybe you could make me a cheap version.... it's not a knock-off if you're copying yourself.... right?

I put the diamonds in the skull ( nearly 2 carats so far ), I have now soldered everything together and since this photo I have added a back plate so you cant see though his eye. This will be my last pic before the piece is finished because my pictures suck, I'll get a professional pic of the skull done when its finished and share it with you guys.

The Lego-style hands are cute. The Maori have an AMAZING Art culture, I teach about them a lot. Whimsical little dude, cool! But, you're forcing us to compair it with a MASTERPIECE, the Bubble Gum Peach Crater Chris. bad idea Mike!! Great stuff, please keep posting!!

Insane!! I've been painting some cheapies, so I can appreciate the size - and that alone takes some patience and a steady hand... I can't imagine trying to carve/mold/whatever, and then assemble something that small!! Especially articulated... just incredible!!

agree 100%, and Barry, I my handpainted Double Heather and would be interested in getting others if the price is right. A Petey could seriously be enhanced with handpainting, and could actually look the best out of the 10 sculpt set if it was painted like the card-black leather jacket, colored mohawk, etc.

Yeah its cool, it was 100% made out of a flat sheet of gold, with parts being cut out and then domed made into tube of just bent. His chain link skirt all moves as well as his legs arms neck and his head spins from side to side but his tongue stays put. Ill pass on your comments to my Brother. we are very competitive when it comes to making Jewelry so I wont tell him it's that good.

The Skull pendant is about a week away from being finished, I will post pictures of it when it is finished. I thought in the meantime I would share a new job I got the go ahead to make & is different to the normal stuff I make, this is a pendant for Savage the guy that did this song that was in the movie Knocked up. I made the Jewelry he is wearing in that video as well. I designed it with a little Cheap toy version of him on the top ;D This pendant is going to be big, but then so is Savage.

I think it's really cool to see these come to life and that's awesome that some of your work is in a video. The skull is looking really cool, can't wait to see the finished product. Your brothers piece is incredible as well. You're both very talented.

Your stuff is great, Mike. Thoroughly impressed! Thanks Zoop I try my best. I wasn't gonna post any of my bad pics but I cant wait for the pro photographer so in the meantime these are the best I can do. I will put up the pro ones up once I get them done, I know this is an overused saying but my pics don't do this justice the stones look allot closer in person and this also looks a little like you are looking at it through a peep hole. And the back.

Holy crap Mike that's just insane!! If you don't mind sharing... how many stones are in it? And how many hours would you say you put into it? Also - I know you drilled holes for all the stones, then do you glue them on?
Kick ass work dude - I look forward to seeing the new pendant when it's done (and hopefully some pics of the process too!!)

Kick ass work dude - I look forward to seeing the new pendant when it's done (and hopefully some pics of the process too!!) Thanks B, its hard to know how long it would take to make as i don't work on just one piece at a time from start to finish, but i think it would take about 150 hours if you could. It has just over 500 stones in total with about 220 of those being top grade diamonds. To hold the stones in place you use a ball burr to open up the drilled hole then when the stone sits down flush in the hole thats been made you dig a small sharp chisel into the surrounding metal to pull up a little prong ( its sort of like when you put a knife in butter) then once that tiny flap is sticking up out of the metal near the edge of the stone you push that down over the stone to hod it in place. This is done 4x per stone. The trick is digging deep enough to get enough metal to hold the stone in but if you dig to deep the little prong can come away from the pendant. I hope this makes sense it is hard to explain.

This is the progress so far on the Savage piece. I'm not going to get to make the whole piece as I'm to busy so my Bro is going to do it but I made enough time for me to do the toy on top because I want to do a cheap toy and this is similar. It is carved from wax And this is a comparison for size. Its not 100% finished yet but it is almost done.

Do you have a buyer for this already or did you make it and hope someone buys it quickly? I have a a few people in mind but nothing locked down yet. I really want to get into doing more artsy stuff like this but its hard to break into that market so I am going to make up 5 really unique pieces to show people.

Cool. Maybe you should be doing fake cheapies as a hobby. ;D People wouldn't be stupid enough to buy a fake would they. I forgot to say I have a photo-shoot tomorrow with the skull pendant and Miss Hawaiian Tropic NZ, and she is going to be topless with my pendant between the goods. I will share these pics also once I run them pass Cory to get the OK.

People wouldn't be stupid enough to buy a fake would they. I don't think he means 'fake' as in the same ones that are already made.... but you could do something like redrichred did, and make new ones!! If you could reproduce them for a reasonable price I'm sure you'd be able to sell a ton on here!! I know I'd buy em!!

And this is a comparison for size. Now I have seen a lot of crappy Cheap Toy imitations over the past few years, but I must say I absolutely LOVE this little green dude. I would definitely purchase a couple little guys from you if they were gpk-related. And I think you should keep 'em that small if you do...they are like 'Micro Cheap Toys'. Also, what material is that made out of? Thanks for sharing - and great work.

Thanks Nico, the green stuff is a hard wax that is used in the jewelry industry, its sorta more like a plastic than a regular soft wax. I was wondering is their a particular GPK kid you would like to see done this way, I am going to do one soon so I'm looking for suggestions, Then I am going to share a limited production with you all.
