Compliments of the great Rusvan i have a new final art painted proof and a wicked cheapie style Graffiti Petey sketch. Thanks Rusvan put the sketch with the ones i got from Geoff for safe keeping! That is sunshine Petey, an old friend of mine. Long story short, the last I have seen of Yellow Petey was one summer afternoon, we were talking by the mailbox, then suddenly a strange violet fog, sort of magenta actually, surrounded us, and when it cleared he was gone.

Yea I think I might need to get a set of these I like how the snappers are an extension of the character, it's actually pretty clever how these were made and packaged!

I was in 2nd & Charles yesterday and was in their gaming section and they have a bunch of NES! I fought the urge not to buy any! Ice Hockey for ONE DOLLAR?? Faxanadu for 3? geez.... increased heart rate, nervously looking around for predatory collectors nearby, checking my wallet for cash.... I didn't buy them...yet.

what came out first: Zelda 2 or Castevania 2? I believe they both came out the same year. I'm not saying it's THE pioneer of RPG elements, just that it was ahead of it's time for the series and the action genre. Zelda and castlevania were in different genres too I loved both games. I broke AT LEAST 4 controllers playing Zelda 2, I used to have some emotional issues as a child, lol! I traded GPKs and Transformers and skateboard parts to my friends for their extra NES controller. Everyone in my neighborhood had only one controller by the time I was in 8th grade, lol!

It's all good, I'm just sercond guessing gpk's collecting, that's all. It's a scary place to be in once you're this deep. It's something that needs to be contended with if it starts effecting people around you. I'm just going to put it on hold until I figure out, excuse the pun, my next move, if any. I'm happy with what I got collecting, just am not happy with things in other parts of my life. I'll be around! Peace

Can anybody shed light on the sculpting of original cheap toys? Were they sculpted in wax/soap? We're there any other characters considered for CTS1 set? More info!!!! More!!!! Damn good question! I have always wondered how the characters were chosen for the Crummy Candy! Obviously, Series 1 Cheap Toy were produced during OS4!! Jack O Lantern was one printed on the wafers-can you imagine that Cheap Toy?!!!

You are still spending yourself thin, you said it yourself. Ask yourself why you are buying so many BNS packs and weigh the consequences of bringing stress and fear and doubt into your everyday life. What is GPK giving you that you are in need? Excitement, material wealth, gambling, entertainment, etc? What are other ways of satisfying these needs without overspending money and time and focus on collecting stickers?
You seem like an intelligent collector, hope you can find your pace, balance, and presence, and maybe the GPK hobby is a positive, fruitful, self-regulating fit for you. The key is to always question and trouble it, before it becomes bigger than your Self.
Be aware that you are participating and 'supporting' a very dangerous and oppressive structure in the GPK brand, Topps, and forum life, and these structures construct the average man into power-hungry, greedy, desiring beings over night if we are not careful and alert.

Nobody is quitting UG. BNS2 was partially to blame though. What a joke, one joke too many. I'm done. If I buy more packs its because I want to-as a fan and not a 'collector' and NEVER a supporter. G%#£%*+ loser Topps. Jimbo and TCT sets are where it's at! Thx for your support V -TCT I'm not 'supporting' GPK fan releases Tct(and Jimbo), I simply love them because they are quality, visual, funny, smart, and cool, and are made by my friends in a place I love inspired by a sticker line I adored as a child. If that is called support then I'm supporting you, but to me we are talking about two different things. I WAS supporting Topps and Post-OS Garbage Pail Kids and BNS(lol), but I never supported and never will support GPK fan sets, because that is redundant if I truly love something. I never had to support OS GPKs, never did, it was never in my mind set.

Bro, I'm broke in 1 so no worries. But I am going to love wallpapering my room with all the pretty stickers while I try to release myself from the buckled jacket.... Collectors should really focus one one or two things and not spread themselves too thin, there's so much cool things in this hobby to collect but it's need to be in proportion to ones income and lifestyle, and not treat every item like it is their last like I did. I screwed up, sorry UG! Please help future young collectors understand this, before they go too far and get sick.

Dat bitch ain't touching my s**t. Cheapies are tiny and stored under my doghouse bed in my studio, she won't find them. After May(and the final photoshoots) they are going in a safety deposit for a long time, if things go my way. Break up the worlds largest cheapy collection Shawty is trying to get under shawty's skin. Two things will not change: friends and the cheap toys(and candy items). Yet, I don't want to say never, that's exactly what's hurting me, I'm not obligated or accountable to anyone or any cause or any collectible anymore. I just want to be a fan again, I want to care because I care, not because I'm supposed to care. I can't support anymore-my back is broke. If the structure falls, then so be it, it was going to eventually. I'm not having the fun with collecting I used to have. There's no plans for a Cheap Toy Museum (like, 30 people might visit it once a year and 20 of those by accident), I'm just a dude with a badass collection his my attic. (Free admission for the ladies)

Wow who will lead us in some of the greatest rants that sound like churchills speechs then turn it into rodney dangerfield i'll miss that! Lol, I never stay mad for long, even mid-paragraph, lol. I'll be around, after a long break, no promises though. If I come back it will because I want to, I don't owe anybody s**t, I've paid my dues a million times over, have over 8,000 posts between here and CTL, and over 1500 ebay feedback score, and I'm tired. I don't even like computers to be honest, I only come here to be with you guys and see cool s**t, but the money and time crippled me.

Russ you better not! Russ you better not! I'm serious, I need to do it for my health on so many levels, I haven't been 'well' for a long time, and my collecting game is off, I want to get out while I'm on top. My friends will always be friends and the collection will stay in tact, as upsetting as this decision is and as painful this process will be, one day soon I can get good sleep again, first time in six years. I take things too far, I need an intervention, it's about 3 years overdue.

Right! They don't and prices are at an alltime low and they are super easy to get! It may be 'super easy' to get a few random floating figures...but completing sets, not so much. I can think of a Cinnamon that's a bitch to find.

Since FB2 I have set myself a 100$ budget for spending on new GPK sets. So far it's been great and I haven't got burned out like I did with releases before that. For FB2 and FB3 I bought one sealed Target gravity feed (I used to have a friend that worked at target) and a rack pack. The goal since FB2, honestly, is to try to score a sketch or a plate. I've never pulled a sketch, or anything good(besides errors) out of a GPK pack. Creating a hundred dollar boundary does not get me much -besides an a&b set, and a decent mix of inserts, but it prevents me from buying hundreds and hundreds of dollars like I did before, and still not scoring s**t. I'm doing the same today, going to spend 100$ at Target and then I'm done until BNS3.
