Look! It's Garbage Pail Dan! I was told this is an original. I bought it from a reliable source. . . the guy getting shocked in the GPKUG convention photo. I want to believe it is an original, so here it is.

Remember his crazy weekend! It was great meeting everyone in this print. The painting is my favorite of anything ever done GPKwise. It reflects everything from that weekend and retold the story right down to what we were wearing that day.

I decided to post some of my collection. It is quite amateur compared to most others on this thread, but it is a poor man's, "blue collar" collection that reflects my enthusiasm for the hobby. So, to start, here is my John Pound original art collection. . .

She sold me her Roger Logger color rough. It was shipped quickly and I am very happy with it. She also gave me a great deal. Stinger is a great person to go to to enhance your collection.

Cory, I like the simplified versions of your framing better, so we'll done on that decision. Great collection!

I also loved Jay Lynch's final statement in the movie. A perfect, appropriate, and humorous way to end the movie.

3 out of 5 for me. I thought John Pound was charming and loved his interview segments. Overall, it was enjoyable. It has inspired me to look into buying some original art or color roughs.

1) Would you buy or support a set of cards outside of the "official" name brand stuff by former artists of GPKs? A: Yes I'd buy or support a set of cards outside of the "official" name brand stuff by former artists of GPKs as long as the price point is reasonable. 2) If so what do you expect from such a series? What kind of art requirements? Other things like Bonus Cards? Sketch Cards? Signed cards? A: I'd be happy with a series with strong characterization. I'd want memorable characters and not so much set up gags. The hits are nice but many times it seems the hits become the focus of the set and not the set itself. I'd prefer none of the above. 3) How important is the design and/or packaging? Does it have to resemble the "official" stuff? A: Not important at all. 4) How many cards in a set? A: I'd be happy with a small 40 card set as long as the characterization is strong and it's well thought through. You know quality versus quantity thing. 5) Does something "not official" turn you off? What constitutes something that is official? Is it solely based on a product by a company you know? A: It does not have to be official to me as long as it is done well and is in the same vein (look) of the franchise I was interested in. Melty Misfits for example was a complete turn off because while the concepts were similar it was still too far removed from messed up CPKs. I don't care for messed up ice cream things. 6) How much is nostalgia a part of your decision? How much of it is just name recognition and the fact that other fans are collecting the set? A: My collecting is guided by complete nostalgia. 7) Would you be willing to fund such a set if a Kickstarter or some other crowd source system was in place? A: Possibly, again depending on price point. There are reasons why I avoid the designer scene because I am avoiding the designer prices. These answers pretty much sum up my feelings. I will add that bonus cards seem to detract from the base set and I would like to see a strong base set with no bonus cards.

Does Vegas have a mafia like Chicago did? After seeing one of our own beaten, lying face down in the street, not knowing what happened until the next day, only to hear that he was attacked by the mafia and police because of something that he did not do (and that another UGER did), I am not sure I am up for another UG con. Hopefully, the mfer that framed Dxtr will not be coming. If he is not, I may consider going.

Gpkanonymous was very flexible on price and shipped immediately. He is absolutely 100% reliable and I would trade or buy from him again.

It is a perfect memorialization of one of the craziest weekends ever. Everyone's gpk doppelganger is spot on and the details even down to the clothing we wore are perfect. Looking forward to getting it.

Actually, Chicago style pizza is very overrated. I am up for an ethnic restaurant, but will go where the group goes.

If any Chicagoans are in this group of attendees, please recommend a place we can all meet Friday night for dinner. I am looking forward to the event. I am picking up a commissioned gpk card from Mr. Pingitore on Saturday and will enjoy meeting him and you all next weekend!

Ok, I am too stupid to understand this. I cannot post a picture directly. I am only able to paste a link to photobucket. How do you post a pic without having the reader go to photobucket? I tried that insert image tag and it did not seem to work. Thank you in advance.
