I always thought Best Offers at least with a Buy-It-Now were to send a price lower than the asking BIN price. I'm not sure if I have ever participated in an auction listing with just a Best Offer. I just throw an offer lower then the Buy-It-Now and if they accept, great! If not no biggie. I never saw an offer that I made as offensive and if I did, I probably wouldn't deal with that seller if they are that sensitive. Granted I only ever make offers of about $5 or less than the asking price. Just recently Clint cut me a good deal on a card I wanted, but I had told him if he wanted more then my offer to counter. As a fair buyer there is no way to know a sellers thoughts. I have been lowballed before myself and I counter offer or just say no thanks! I never get offended.

I sold all my Neon Yellows earlier in the year. I sold for way less then what I bough them for. Unfortunately I needed the cash more then I needed the toys. The guy told me upfront he'd be selling some or maybe all. After he bought them I honestly didn't care what he did with them. They were his at that point. I can understand though if someone persistently asks for something out of your collection that you may or may not want to part with, then quickly try and flip it. That would piss me off for sure. I had a guy do that to me once, he wanted a Chris out of my collection that I wasn't advertising. I finally relented to be nice as he was building a Chris chain. He did hold off on selling it for a while but once he was done with collecting he sold it. The point that upsets me was I had asked him to sell it back to me if he ever decided to part with it for what I sold it to him for. He sold it to someone else for more then he paid which still irks me to this day.

I know the seller of this figure. He offered me a trade on it but I declined. Not into marbled s2's anymore. Heck I think I had traded/sold this figure off at some point. Poor guy can't find a home.

Ha! Totally forgot about this. I was actually interested in this one. I was going to go up to $400 too, and just sell my green Phyllis privately if I won. Yup when you sell pm me, or if you need the cash now pm me . Dang Shame that huge lot last year couldn't get resolved . All of us wanted the same 3-4 figures and it never got broke up. I needed a few figures from that lot as I remember. Luckily they were ones no one else wanted. It's a real shame it didn't get sorted out as I'd love to finally achieve my goals. I'd be great to retire from Novo collecting. It's been fun but way too expensive!

Didn't win the Phyliss so my quest continues unless someone wants to trade a Red Catty Kathy for one of my Fish. I got Phyliss in 3 colors. Anyways I did manage to score the CA Brett. Down to four figures to finish that set. Never thought I'd get so far. It's only taken me between 8 to 10 years, haha. Going through memory lane, it's nice to see very little infighting. Back in 2010/2011 boy was there A LOT of infighting and back stabbing. I don't miss that aspect of the hobby at all.

I don't know guys. People have to want to pay that price again. I know I don't. We are all in our 40's or older, haha. Different priorities then it was 10 years ago for many of us. Just because a few guys bid that toy up to $200 or maybe $300 doesn't mean whoever else is collecting them wants to pay those prices. You have to remember the community shrank because of the high prices.

Well for those that care I threw a bid on the fire. It's a biggun so if you want it you gotta top $300 US. I say that because there's always that one guy who wants it cheap but can't afford it so they have to raise you by $5 to your max to make you pay as much as possible. It's actually still pretty cheap compared to how much these things used to sell for. A series 2 on average was $400.

I will sometimes throw a high initial bid(not my highest) just to ward people away but I still reserve my top dog bid for the ass end with 5 seconds left Or you sexually harass them until they are scared of you and avoid any auction your bidding on Jason!

I hear ya liquidfox. I am going back and forth on this one as I have Phyliss in the 3 other colors. (red, blue and green) It would be nice to have a color chain of her but I don't really have the cash.

I've seen that too guys constantly bidding by $5. It's funny because I bid at the last second and usually end of winning 75% of the time. These guys who just bid against each other are pretty much just wasting their time with the endless back and forth and showing their hand. Maybe it's a bragging kinda thing? Just because your the high bidder for the week doesn't mean sh@t. You better bring your A game for the last 10 sconds is all I got to say.

I think it's funny how guys try to outbid each other days before an auction even ends. Your just raising it higher on yourselves. We all know an auction winner is determined within the last few seconds of an auction.

I'm with Bok. I quit buying the new stuff as I hate wasting my money on cards I don't like. I could care less if they release another new set ever again. I have 30 years of merchandise to catch up on. Between Cheap Toys and my Bonnie Bunny, Roy Bot and Fryin Ryan focus, I also collect sketches, proofs and negatives. I collect foreign as well as trying to upgrade and complete the holes in my OS collection. I still have a long road to travel. I also collect Toys, mini figures and comics to boot so I'm always buying something.
