I would rather buy a nice OS2 set or a rack pack box of OS3 over this. What an epic let down.

The only saving grace is if they are die cut and actually have comic backs and are numbered on front. Guess we will know today!

This looks like BNS, I guess it’s better than the crap they’ve been spewing out since. One of the artists sketch sheets had September 2017 on it, so I guess they had a tight deadline.

Doing some detective work , lol. You can see a few of these and I believe the new set is classic characters, from a different perspective. Also looks like they are done in the OS style. This is from Brent’s Instagram. http://instagram.com/p/BYxXpCalOyj

Look, I know we’ve seen some terrible releases lately , but these are really at least some great concepts so far. They really do look like a path in the right direction. Very much in the style of OS , not quite CPK look though, or at least BNS. I will expect that 2018 will be the light at the end of the tunnel, especially if they work in chrome 3. We have to hope it gets better, 2016-17 has been bad for GPK and the country so far.

I actually smiled when I saw some of these . It’s been a while, maybe this will be the redeemer.

One looks like what I would draw at 3am after a fifth of vodka and the other looks like something out of the GPK adults from Mad Magazine, except that would be insulting Tom Bunk. Who buys this ish?

First this and then we get Star Trek Discovery, which is a total disgrace as well. It's a lost cause with GPK and most things we cherished. There's just a bunch of clueless people putting out this product . It definitely looks like Trash Can Tots and the other vending machine clones . Even Grossvillle High looks better than this .

I just think it's a different generation of people in control. I also believe they don't have good judgment, taste or any clue what the brand is about . For the first time ever, in 32 years, I only purchased a few packs of the new release and still felt regret . Chrome 3 would be the only redemption, as that's when most OS collectors really started. Topps doesn't care anymore obviously and people keep buying the online trash and themed releases . I keep hoping they will bounce back, but change is hard for some people.

The more I look back, 0S 1-9 was pretty much on point. The brand did suffer with the restraints of the lawsuit. I do think that if we were still kids, this new artwork wouldn't seem as bad. But we are all fully aware that the online releases and two newest retail releases are crap. They should have stuck with the BNS line and continued it. All of these themed sets and contained art are sub par. I actually am just going back to collecting OS 1-5 stuff and maybe get into some foreign sets. Until Topps gets someone who actually knows GPK, they will be targeting the part time fans, who are too dumbed down to realize what they are buying.

Are you trying to punish yourself with bad art?

Some great ideas! I think keeping it simple and picking up where OS9 left off would be great. How about calling them- "Garbage Fail Kidz"
More edgy, but still with the CPK look. Topps can either deal with it or get their act together .
