Nintendo just recently announced the Official release of the Donkey Kong Arcade game for the Switch. I don't know why this excites me so much but it does. I always wanted to play the original arcade version at home but the only versions I had were the crappy Atari 2600 version and the NES version that didn't faithfully recreate the game. The NES version also didn't have the pie level, which never made sense why they didn't include it. I have been waiting a long time for an actual arcade version to play on a Nintendo console. Can't wait to download it tonight. Check out the Nintendo Treehouse video below. They sit down with Don James, who worked for NOA for over 35 years. He talks a lot about the history of Donkey Kong and the other obscure Nintendo arcade game Sky Skipper, which is also coming out for the first time. Video of Donkey Kong & Sky Skipper

Does this mean they might one day release the arcade versions of Contra and Double Dragon? I would sell a kidney for that to happen. Not my kidney, but a good kidney just the same!

That’s cool. Were there any major differences with Vs. Super Mario Bros arcade game? I don’t think that has been released either.

Okay, you get half a kidney! Do you prefer left or right? Hmm...I'll take the left kidney. When Contra comes out I expect that right kidney to be available though.
