Damn... this is the perfect GPK heist scenario... I'm going to show up in a ski mask and rob everyone. Make sure you bring some art Cory. Actually, I'd love to attend but I'm with the previous post about having to share my time with my girl. I'd end up at Universal or something. lol The great thing is that with all of us going, Florida will be covered!!! Represent all the way there and back!

There's no way I'd bring my wife to any type of GPK/Con event. It's way too nerdy. I think she can live without me for a few days. ;D Besides, she'd be bored stiff and ruin it for me by making it known that she's bored. Also, I have a plan to keep my artwork safe.

Cory; DEAL man... free whiplash!!! You awesome.
Nico-san; Let me know when you book the flight... definitely have to get on the same flights, that would be stellar.
Everyone else; if flying down there, and you have never flown, and have a known fear of heights and flights, get over it before attempting to board a plane. Right Cory? LOL

Can someone please make a thread to "OFFICIALLY" Ban the wearing of Fanny Packs? I know collecting GPK's at 35 isn't really the coolest thing in the world, but damn! The wife told me I could have a free weekend with a bunch of peeps I don't know if I paid her back and took the family to disney the week prior or after. What's up with women? I hope it's worth it ya'll, someone please assure me it'll be worth it.

I hope it's worth it ya'll, someone please assure me it'll be worth it. If you enjoy most of these things: hanging out, drinking, doing sophmoric stuff, tards in costumes, drinking, bed olympics (nonsexual), meeting people that love the hobby as much as you, looking at shawties, talking GPK, drinking, looking at GPK stuff, buying GPK, and etc.. Then yes it'll be worth it.

Sweet that's exactly the things I like to do. I just got nervous for a sec with pink fanny packs and winks. I'm totally down for beers, boobs, and acting childish for a weekend.

Being at a comic con, I'll be a tard in a costume. I've thought about it before but never followed through. I'm all about comfort I guess. ;D I love the tards in costumes. I makes the event fun to go to. I really love the bad costumes.

I'm soooooo wanting to come. 95% sure I'll be there. The main issue will be getting the finances together, since flights from Edmonton to FL are pretty damn pricey. Lots of different things to plan! Thanks VERY much for announcing it so early... that definitely gives enough time to get stuff together! Any recommendations on hotels that are close/cheap/etc? Anyone wanna be a roomie? The more info I can get now, the better my chances of actually making it down! I've never been to a comic con before (because Canada doesn't breed collectors apparently), so a question for all you vets: over and above flight & hotel costs, what is a reasonable amount of money to bring to cover food/drinks/awesome collectibles/sketches/etc? I wanna try to get a round number to save up, so I can set it all aside before I spend more money on more art!!

I'm going to find a place where it won't cost anyone more than $60 a night ($30 split). It shouldn't be a problem to find a decent one for that price. Of course I'm looking for lower pricing too. Also, there should be plenty of people looking to room up. As for the other money, it just depends on how much you like to drink and what you like to eat. I'm sure our prices are comparable to yours in Canada. There are a s**t load of kickass resturants in Orlando. You should be able to get by on less than $100 a day very easily.
